Even being a province away, I can still smell the smoke of the BC wildfires.

(Me the other day while at the shore with my friends)

The beach is a bad place for bisexuals. There are too many sexy distractions, not just on the beach, but on the boardwalk and in shops as well. It's like an eye-candy factory.

Today is my dog's 1st birthday. Also my Grandma's first birthday she isn't here for. Bittersweet I guess. That dog gives me lots of happiness I guess.

I've had a lazy summer. But this past week I've done landscaping and painting and did all of my ap chemistry practice problems to review with students. I think my batteries are recharged now.

School comes back next week and I just realized that I haven't done any of the stuff I wanted to.

Yeah I've definitely lost weight. Sitting in one of the narrow chairs at the doctor's office is a lot more comfortable now.

Funny, all talk of NK seems to have died down.

Is my music taste getting worse, or is mainstream music getting better? I never ever thought I'd love a Harry Styles song lmao

Still can't get my parents to accept the fact I want to go by "he/him" sometimes.

Sounds like what my brother went through for months! He's had at least two jobs, now...

Yeah but I only have a week or two more before I have to start paying rent. My only "work experience" would be dog sitting for a family back in South Carolina. I applied to a lot of doggy daycares and dog hotels, but nada. Also applied for petsmart/petco the other day so am hoping for that to work.
I called two places I applied at to learn that they are currently fully staffed. And a lot of the fast few chains aren't hiring at this moment, which seems strange to me since when I first moved out here my friend was telling me all about how the places around here are always hiring. I guess being 25 and having almost no retail exp makes me a unlikely hire.

Well, the last thing you want to do is quit now :/ This is where "who you know" comes especially useful. One of my friends would seem to have a new job every two weeks! Then again, he was super social and involved in many circles. Yeah, I was bitter.

lol, then I'm a bit screwed because I know no one in Portland other than my friend, and she works for her university's costume department, she also stays in the town her Uni is located, so I don't see her a lot. I did apply for where her fiancee works (a Mcdonalds) but they never called back.
Certainly not going to give up though. Just going to keep applying and calling and being that annoying person looking for a job.

One of my old friends basically got his job at Wal-Mart by being annoying and calling them non-stop, lol
