We get knowledge by doing things and we quantify it by counting how many times we've done something in regards to a specific thing.
Why do we sometimes care much more about fictitious characters that obviously aren't real than we do about certain people?

 

Say the inanimate object is a room and the person is your friend. IN the room you can feel happiness FOR your friend, and due to the reflexive property: happiness = happiness.

Sorry, I guess I changed my question a bit too late. to not cause confusion for others, my original question was: "Why do we sometimes hold the same emotions in certain inanimate objects as we do for certain people?"

To answer your new questions, we don't. We simply submit to them and do their bidding.

Why must our bodies be designed in a way where we require certain nutrients to be consumed but have other nutrients be produced inside our bodies as opposed to be 100% self sufficient?
