out of curiosity, who here is a 90's baby? what were some of your best memories?

Mine was the summer, when all kinds of music were popping out hit singles after the next, and everyone during the summer was having a great time.

I wouldn't call them "best" memories, because I don't have very many specific memories pertaining to what I did in the 90s, but I do remember some of the odd shit people wore then. Also playing Super Nintendo. Also, I remember the Emergency Broadcast System, but that's because it scared the fuck out of me. I have odd memories of that time period.

I was born in 1995, so my memories of the 90s are fairly limited. I do have a few though, most of them involve the trips my parents brought me along on: the first was to London in 1998 and then to San Francisco in 1999.

Maybe school? Where I went to kindergarten to sixth grade is just down the street. Also spent many hours glued to my Gameboy(s).

ME! I am a 90's child! I don't remember much of the first half of the decade, but the late 90's were awesome. My life was mainly Nickelodeon (cartoon channel) and N64. I also remember trips with the family to Wisconsin Dells (my guinea pig always came along). It's kind of funny, but a few years ago the hotel we used to stay at in the Dells area was in the news for a bedbug infestation.
And we actually hung out with our extended family and had fun. Now we're all too grown up and cool for each other.

I guess technically I'm a 90's baby since I was born in 1998, but my childhood was during that weird transition in between the late 2000's and the 2010's. For example, the Nintendo DS Lite came out when I was in elementary school, but I was too young to remember MySpace.

Same for me, except glued to my DS.

    2000's kid checking in.

I was born in 1999, so although I am technically a 90's baby... I'm only just one. Of course I don't remember what the 90's was like by memory, considering I hadn't even reached 1 years old, so yeah... if I'd been born a bit later I would've been a 2000's baby.

    I AM!

My best memories are probably watching Star Wars for the first time with my Mom (I actually got to see it on the big screen too when it was re-released in 1998), watching the Muppet Babies on Nick Jr, and building weird contraptions out of Legos and tinker toys, which I did quite a bit of.

I used to think I wanted to be an inventor/mechanical engineer. But Star Wars and The Muppet Babies both convinced me I should become a filmmaker, because then I could go anywhere, be anything, and make anything happen.

Born in 1998, so I have next to no memories of the 90s. Moreso I remember the early 2000s, though that was spent in a different country.

born in 1997. I have a few sparse memories of when I was super young but I don't remember if it was from when I was 2 or 3.

I was born in 1990. I clearly remember a time before the internet was ubiquitous. Really weird to think of how things were without it: school projects were researched with encyclopedias/newspapers/etc, all social plans were made either by phone (actually dialing someone's number on a corded phone :eek:slight_smile: or in person, and if you played multiplayer video games, it was split-screen. You start to fall behind in score? Accuse your opponent of screen-peeking!

I would be hard pressed to choose between the '90s and today's world, but those second two points were actually good hehe. The only other thing is that people weren't so freaked out about terrorism and economic prospects. Better technology can't save us from corruption. X.X

Yeaaah buddeh! Imagination was the key to a kick ass afternoon; awesome toys like the super soaker; Playstation; cheesy but lovable commercials -- the Popsicle commercials used to always grab my attention; edgy and consciously aware cartoons; the summer's seemed longer; music was way better than the garbage they spew today; more predominately black shows on television, specifically Nickelodeon *thanks Nick*; hotter celebrities; awards shows had more talented performers; gas was more affordable; Burger King had Mr. Potato Head as their mascot; and legendary Disney Films such as Toy Story and Lion King; what's not to love about the 90's?

I was born in 1995, I do remember roller blading when I was pretty little which I loved. Going into the 2000s I absolutely loved neopets, cartoon network and my tamagotchi.
