I will never understand people around here who drive around with Confederate flags on their car.

Bitch, you live in the NORTH. You live in the extreme North of the country and the South is not going to rise again. If you're a redneck, find some other way to express it, and take that damn racist thing off your freaking car because it makes you look like an ass.

Yeah, right? Yikes. I'm all for Southern pride, but that flag literally existed JUST during the Civil War. If it was a cultural symbol before that I'd understand. But it's a symbol of the fight for slavery.

I'm an ethnic looking chick living in Southern Virginia so I feel you.

Right, I totally understand being proud of where you're from, but that flag simply makes no sense in the North. And even if it did, what it stands for is atrocious. But then, I do live in a small town in a county that voted overwhelmingly for Cheeto Hitler, so why am I really surprised? :bang: I'd like to think people are just using it in a misguided attempt to fly their redneck colors (we've got a lot of out and proud rednecks) but then I remember the number of Trump lawn signs I saw during the election... no, these people know exactly what it means and just don't care.

And I'm not sure if I should be flat out honest.

Like if it would make things better or not. Maybe its just a lack of communication and talking about it would help. Or maybe it would just make me seem batshit insane. But I just feel like I'm losing the few friends I have.

There's still a few hours until the day ends, but I don't think anything will come of it. My friends at those convention tried to live stream it to me and some others, but the reception was garbage and we couldn't. So much for trying :\

This morning, as soon as I stood up, I lost my breath and had a tightness in my chest. I really do need a Xanax.

For some reason, many people in PA boast about Southern pride, despite never leaving the state. Man, the people I've seen with the Confederate flag makes me nauseous. We had a problem at some food festival a few hours from me where some skinhead fuck had Nazi flags out. People are shit.

Oh, that would have sent me through the roof if I had been there and saw that. I have absolutely no tolerance for Nazis or their BS. I once almost punched a couple of guys out in college for doing the Nazi salute behind my back. They were talking to my roommate, asking about the small German flag I had pinned to my corkboard, and when she explained about my heritage, the dumbasses thought it was a "funny joke" to do that behind my back. They didn't realize I could see their reflections in the window.

NO. Just. Fucking. No. I was having none of that. I told them if I saw them doing it again I'd break their arms. They were tripping over themselves: "It was a joke, just a joke!" "It wasn't meant for real!" I don't care, that shit's not funny.

First time watching 50 Shades of Grey... I've read all the books but the movie actually isn't bad.

Let's be honest, I'm more of a person that uses words as a weapon than my fists. Just think of it as Regina George.
