I go to the gym almost every night and dance a couple times a week; but I was wondering what some of your favorite indoor physical activities are because I need more things to do besides go to work, go to the gym, and sleep. It's too cold here to take my dog for walks or do anything outside, really. Like 10 degrees, not for me. :eusa_snoo
Wouldn't call it my "favorite" activity, but I lift weights a few times a week. I'm trying to add some muscle so I pass better (and because I've been wanting to do so for years but now I have a reason to) and I am seeing results. But it's not what I'd call fun.
Sex. No contest Plus I love plain old exercise because of the 'burning' sensation and a few sports but that's usually easier outdoors
I like lifting a spoon full of ice cream to my mouth. Or exercising my fingers while playing World of Warcraft. Seriously now, i like swimming or sword-fighting (with fake sword, made of wood and foam), but i'm lazy and i don't do that very often. I try to go for walks with some frequency, as i need to lose some weight.
That totally sucks that you don't really enjoy it that much :/ at least you're seeing results! :eusa_clap ---------- Post added 20th Dec 2016 at 10:46 PM ---------- Haha I just got out of a relationship so sex isn't for me ATM. Yeah, I don't even know of any indoor sports haha. ---------- Post added 20th Dec 2016 at 10:49 PM ---------- LMAO seriously ice cream is my weakness right now. Never played WOW but runescape used to be where it's at haha. Okay I actually laughed really loud at this, lol. I love it. Swimming is cool but my freaking gym doesn't have one. :starwars: ---------- Post added 20th Dec 2016 at 10:49 PM ---------- Yeeessss. So much dancing <3
I split my workouts and do my ab workouts at home. I don't like doing floor ab exercises at the gym. Makes me feel ridiculous haha. We have indoor tennis courts here as well. Tennis is definitely my favorite Hmm.. I guess shopping counts too right? lol.
I run (I've done 6 half-marathons) but I mostly do it for the cardiovascular exercise and the fact I get cool t shirts for paying outrageous sums of money to run on public streets. For fun, I'd have to say I still haven't found something truly enjoyable, but I'd venture that hiking or recreational team sports are up there.
Ooh, lucky! I would love to do indoor tennis if there were a court nearby. I like doing indoor swimming at the gym I go to. When I don't feel like going swimming (or it's "that time of the month"), I ride my exercise bike at home. It's a neat one that has a stand for my laptop, so I pass the time by watching Detective Conan while I bike.
Stuffing my mouth full with potato chips while sitting on the couch and watching my favorite tv series. I find it exhilarating.
I love Color Guard, which is basically doing tosses/tricks?/exercise with 6 ft. tall flags. Its fun, difficult, but fun.
I've always wanted to do fencing! I have done a bit of jiujitsu and kickboxing, both of those are really fun. ---------- Post added 22nd Dec 2016 at 12:41 AM ---------- Wow! I've never heard of that. It sounds very difficult but like a great activity
Swimming! This is why Summer is my favorite season since we don't have any indoor pools or water parks. I'm looking forward to Summer again!
My favorite physical activities overall are martial arts, biking and kayaking, but I don't know about indoors. Usually when I'm indoors it's because I want to be on my computer rather than go do something. I like throwing socks and skipping around the dishwasher, if that counts.
Martial arts seem popular amongst us! Muay Thai was always my favorite but I have been an instructor at kickboxing and studied various martial arts all my life. Favorite indoor activity now is probably doing jobs on my motorbikes or modifying my Land Rover. Oh and snuggling on the settee under a blanket with my Labrador snoring happily on the floor at my feet after being out in the fields while I get warm, again and watch "Californication".... guilty pleasure that one :eusa_naug
