Yes omg thank you I agree :tears:
It's how people say that Hillary didn't used to support gay rights so long ago and use it as an excuse to hate her now, but I'm pretty sure a lot of people have changed their minds about gay marriage esp. going into the 21st century. Some haven't and some have been supportive since long before, but haven't we all become more aware and changed our opinions over time? So that argument has never made sense to me.
This is also why I hate when people want to refuse to vote just because they don't like Hillary, because if they don't want Trump, the best thing is to vote for Hillary and get over it. It's their choice but still haha. At least she's an intelligent functioning human

He's 70...when is his time going to be up? I know that sounds awful but he's the only exception I make for not wishing death on anyone.

Even if vaccines caused autism at least you know longer get those "you have died of dysentery" signs.

*I know we don't vaccinate against "dysentery" but it's fun to say.

Even if it was true, I'd rather have autism than meningitis. "Trump talks rubbish" seems to be becoming a common headline in this part of the forum.

His own political party tried to get him blocked for the nomination.

I know one lady who won't vaccinate her kids because she thinks it causes autism and she's a nurse!

Originally the argument hurt Hillary because she was up against Bernie Sanders who supported gay right a decades before she "changed her mind." I don't think many people are giving her much grief for it now, right? To a lot of people, her switch seemed insincere, long over-due, and politically motivated. Yes, she may be for gay rights now, but she was fighting against someone who not only talked the talk decades before her, but also walked the walk and continues to. Now she is the best candidate for gay rights (even though she's pretty republican herself and I think Donald Trump is actually fairy open minded but will have to answer to the republican constituency).

That argument is only really valid if you have any respect for the established Republican Party... Otherwise, you're basically saying "my enemy hates Trump so that proves he's bad." Hmm.

Part of me feels like Donald Trump is just being a giant troll and the things he's saying is an attempt to help get Hillary in the White House. Either that or he's just going to sandbag the Republican party and throw the election when it's too late for them to put in another candidate.

At least that's what I hope is happening. The other option just seems too unnerving to think about.

I really don't think he expected to get so far. I don't think he really wants to be president.

This autism epidemic idea is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. It's not autism that is becoming more common, it is the awareness and diagnosis of it. Trump's ideas are becoming more and more dangerous. When Hitler started out, people laughed at him and now we have nuclear this is looking even worse.

One study and everyone jumps on it.
Despite how it's been disproven over and over and over...

    Fucking idiots.
Why do people take Trump seriously at this point?

I'm really glad that people think that Trump's so-called argument is wrong. I just wish they would focus a bit more on the fact that he called people an "epidemic." And yes, calling autism an epidemic is the same as calling autistics an epidemic.

    I am a person. I am autistic. I am not a disease.

I hate Trump; he's a narcissistic sociopath and a serious threat. Of course autism isn't caused by vaccines. What I'm more concerned about though is his casual attitude towards nukes.

Maybe we should fill them with radioactive spider DNA instead, so that you can get injected with spider senses and save Earth from the impending illuminaughty alien invasion! Then we won't have to worry about vaccinations in the first place and focus instead on sending the first unmanned spacecraft to the ruins of Krypton! After, we harvest the Kryptonite and use it to build Trump's wall as a beacon to the glory of the mighty USA against the dreaded communist agenda and war on Christmas!

...Yeaaaaah. I really don't get him, or most US politicians for that matter.

My understanding was the British researcher who originally proposed the combined vaccine-Autism link was in cahoots with the single vaccine manufacturers - i.e. he was being paid to "plug" their product line.

Now if parents are still paranoid about the combined MMR vaccine, yes it would be better for them to get their children the individual vaccines than nothing at all (although this does raise risks of illness from extending the time the child is non-vaccinated).

The problem is though these sort of parents tend to go one stage further believing ALL vaccines are harmful, when even the original debunked scaremongering study didn't go that far!
