It took me an hour to read this because I could stop dieing of laughter at how stupid there's people are https://www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/thi...bout-dinosaurs?utm_term=.hy1ZBEJ1G#.mwxOx45W0
I've heard of this museum before, even before the loon attempted to create a wooden ark. (But with more than one person, modern tools, and without the animals of course) I'm pretty sure it's not just us atheists who look at Sir Ham over there with a raised eyebrow, but strangely some of my family agrees with him.
Not all creationists believe in this hokum, I should add. Some do not believe the Biblical account is literal and account for dinosaurs that way, others believe in both creation and evolution. That said, I do agree that this kind of belief, this kind of desperate attempt at making a religious text scientific is farcical. The Bible is philosophical and spiritual, but it is not a scientific journal. I wouldn't have any real issue with it if I didn't know that people like this insist on teaching this bunch of hooey in science classrooms in middle America. When I know countries like Sweden and Denmark are laughing at the fact that this is even an issue here. This kind of thing doesn't even come off as a genuine desire to spread knowledge; it's done to "stick it" to secularists and the scientific community. It's this kind of BS that makes people think religion and science are incompatible (they're not).
I doubt many people actually believe this, but gosh this is bonkers. I mean, people have every right to believe this sort of thing but I find it so difficult to take seriously. The only thing I would want out of this exhibition is a shirt with Jesus riding a dinosaur from the gift shop (just to be ironic).
My papaw keeps wanting to take me to the creation museum... and the ark... Thankfully my dad tells him no and my papaw just takes my cousins. I don't know how people could buy into this crap.
I'm from Kentucky too, and yeah, I totally agree with you. XD I think my mom's fond of they idea they "recreated Noah's ark" but hasn't expressed any actual interest in going. A lot of Christians even laugh at Ken Ham, who it's easy to see doesn't have his head screwed on right.
My favorite part is there explanation of why dinosaur and human bones haven't been found together "Because they weren't buried together" XD ---------- Post added 8th Aug 2016 at 12:22 PM ---------- I just found this too
You, sir, just made my day  This thread is hiliarious and I find it hard to believe people actually believe this stuff.
XD May I ask what "radical homosexuality" is? Is it like, anal, but extreme BDSM anal? At what point does it become "radical" exactly?
Gays wanting to get married = they want more rights and are pushing a gay agenda = Nazi Germany. Also, this persecutes fundies 'cause now those poor, poor victims have to put up with the fact that gay people get to live out their love-lives the way they want to. Oh my goodness such horrible persecution. I feel awful for people non-stop condemning people to eternal torture having to put up with the idea of two men or two women having sex. Isn't it just cruel that they have to put up with the fact that other people get to have consensual sex with whoever they want to? Therefore take away gay people's rights 'cause else they will turn the whole country gay and lead to human extinction. Don't believe it? You're too politically correct! (I'm obviously kidding)
This is a perfect impersonation, I hear it all the time here except worded differently since they're trying to sound innocent. Also, wanting to have completely equal rights as men apparently makes me a "radical misandrist" hah. These loons would be hilarious if they weren't so dangerous to society. :rolle:
