I really feel like barfing. What a fucking scam. Another pussy (sorry ladies) child like George W. Bush. Donald Trump Avoided Draft With a Heel Problem, but the Details Are Murky
Well, it's worse when you consider how he accepted a Purple Heart medal from a veteran and said he "always wanted to get a Purple Heart. [and getting it as a gift] was much easier."
Really, The Donald said that about a Purple Heart. Donald needs to be taken out back and dealt with properly.
>_< Well, I don't blame anyone for avoiding the draft- the draft's an outdated system and I think that people should protest against it if it ever comes back into use again.
I agree. For a country that screams so much about how free it is, it has several flaws like this that are yet to be worked out. The military gets plenty of willing recruits without abducting anyone honestly.
On it's own, a draft deferment or even dodging the draft would not bother me that much. However, if Trump were to turn into another of those war-monger Baby Boomers, who have talked out of both sides of their ass for far too long, then I truly would barf. Of course, Hillary Clinton had the ultimate draft deferment. She also had the Baby Boomer trait of not meeting a war she didn't like either (once the threat of being drafted safely passed). I haven't decided if I'm willing to vote for either one of these loons (far less likely I would vote for Trump under any circumstances), but as a person who lives less than a hundred miles from a Canadian town full of U.S. draft dodgers from the 1970's, I'm well versed in this topic. The folks up north at least didn't run for office and promote endless war.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsdElAPlipI This is a fantastic video of him being asked about potential defunding of the GI bill. I swear, I've never seen someone so deftly dance around a question. Apparently all you have to do is say you love our vets and people will believe you... Oh, but you have to be a Republican and a warmonger. Right.
It was quite a dance, but I wouldn't call it all that "deft." Now, "daft" on the other hand, that's the ticket. Trump's answer to that question is emblematic of the entire primary, for both Clinton and Trump. When asked a question, they answer another one. An easy one.
I wouldn't be surprised if the first thing he did as president was fire nukes, and essentially start the Enclave. After all, the Enclave wanted to "Make America Great Again" and were pretty xenophobic.
