Getting Drunk

What's ''drunk'' supposed to feel like?

Since turning 18 I've drunk quite a bit but I'm not sure if I've ever been drunk.

 

I always say I'm a social drinker, but honestly I've been having too many lately, life's a bit more stressful these days then normal and a few Corona's just take the edge off of a crappy day. As long as you know when to stop I don't think there's any problem with drinking to have fun, but if your intention is to "get drunk" then your just looking for problems.

Depends on what you drink, Corona's have very little preservatives, and filler, unlike most other beer. I had 10-11 last night, came home slept in a bit(for me) like 7hrs, woke feeling great, had a coffee and watched the sun rise.

 

I think I've had a sip or two of some kind of alcohol before, but I've certainly never been drunk. I don't want to drink, and probably won't any time soon. Tastes gross and I don't want to be drunk

 

Terrible. Unless your idea of fun involves vomiting, blacking out, hangovers, and possible death (worst case scenario), there are better ways to pass one's time.

 

I didn't get drunk until I was about 20 or 21. I have always been more of a stoner than a drinker. Drinking just didn't appeal to me as a teenager.

Fast forward to now: I love drinking. I'm poor because I love drinking. Still prefer smoking pot.

 

You don't know poor until you've started splurging on single malt Scotch. :badgrin:

 

I have never drunk in my life, and don't plan to. I adopted the straight edge lifestyle at a pretty young age, but don't get me confused with being the "I'm purer than you!" type. Haha.

 

It was probably in my early twenties, but I can't remember much about it.

 

I recently turned 28, and can proudly say that I have NEVER been drunk, and don't plan on ever getting drunk. I know my limits, and getting drunk (or high) isn't something to brag about. I don't think we should glorify alcohol or drugs, as there are, after all, under-aged users on here, who see all of these posts and who may be easily influenced to think that it's cool or funny to get high or pissed. But to each their own

 

Never had even a sip of alcohol personally, it has a weird smell and I rather like my levels of self control. Besides, there always has to be a sober one to drive you home! ...But I can't drive so.

My younger sister says the weirdest things when she's drunk, the shit I say is weird enough without. I'd probably be asking where they parked the Katamari.

 

When I was 16 at a friend's 18th birthday party

 

I got drunk at a wedding when I was 9. I remember being off the walls and the next day I woke up with a terrible headache.

 

I was 21, my stepsister took me to a gay bar for my birthday. The ironic thing is, she still has no idea that I'm a lesbian

 

It definitely does vary from person to person--my personal experience was that if I had to wonder if I was drunk, then I wasn't drunk. There's tipsy and there's drunk. For me, there are a number of symptoms: dizziness/lack of balance, more fluid motions and fidgeting, slurring words, non-stop talking, lightheadedness, and a general feeling of everything being nice, funny, and enjoyable. Of course, as someone who weighs less than 120 lbs., it doesn't take much for me to get drunk. Most of my friends can drink me under the table.

 

When I first got drunk I kept trying and sort of stopping myself from kissing this friend who I thought was cute. And then I realised I liked girls. I remember everything I do when I'm drunk so the ridiculously over dramatic experiences that go on stick with me and become quite significant I think.

 

I guess at 17 or 18.

14, literally two weeks ago.
My friend stole a bottle of 37% vodka and when we finished it turned out i had about 3 quaters of it. Didn't even realise I was drunk until the next morning

 

I've gotten tipsy, but not full on smashed. It's hard to remember, but I was one of those giggly happy drunks, and it's kind of funny looking back on it.

 

Let's see. Sophomore year of college. I think. I went to a party and had a quad shot and another single shot. I remember honestly being fine the next morning. Of course that could be due to my RA keeping an eye on me in the bathroom and having me drink water after I dry heaved a lot.
