Would you? This person is straight, married, deadly attractive, has a couple of kids and a lot of cash. Would you be their lover/bit on the side? This person loves their spouse, however their partner isn't satisfying them in the bedroom and they enjoy your company, showering you in expensive gifts and fancy meals.

I was having this conversation with a friend the other day and she seemed surprised that I would be "the other (wo)man". Maybe that's just me being selfish, but in my opinion it is the married person's responsibility to, well, not cheat on their spouse.

How far do your morals stretch? Does them having kids make the situation different?

Not fair to the unaware spouse/partner. I have refused and will continue to refuse being party to any such scheme.

Fuck no. Straight people are unattractive to begin with, and to mess with a married couple, bad idea.

But since I'm a lesbian my situation is different. The guy probably wouldn't mind, and this works for some girls, but I find it to be misogynistic and tasteless. I'd rather he think I was cheating and get pissed off. Don't want to be in the middle of some creepy pervert's disgusting sexist fantasy.

Yep! Maybe not when you're 14, but when you're in your early twenties/late teens or something.

If someone wasn't having their needs met in a relationship and it was all out in the open, then I would. But if it's secret and lying and all that? No thanks. Not worth the hurting. Nothing is.

No. I'd be extremely pissed if I got cheated on, so why would I get some guy to cheat on his wife with me?

If the other partner knew about the relationship, sure. I'm all in favor of flexible monogamy. If it were a secret, absolutely not.

I would be perfectly ok with sleeping with someone with the permission of their partner. I don't believe that's what's being asked here, though.

I would if their partner knew about it. I consider myself homo-flexible so having sex with a dude would be fine for me. Although I think I'd need to have made significant progress with transitioning or I'd just feel unbelievably uncomfortable.

Assuming this means I also would have feelings/love for the person then no. The pain of that would be too great. I imagine the other person they are with would also feel a similar pain if/when they found out and I wouldn't want anyone to suffer that.

So no. I can see the temptation considering I've been in love with someone taken before, but no.

I said "never," but that's just my current outlook. I don't think I have what it takes to satisfy anyone in a relationship. I just don't think I could bring myself to care enough about someone else to continually put them before my own wants and desires.
I don't want much out of life besides some pretty good food, a nice and cozy living situation, some friends, my health, and the ability to do what I want with my time. From that perspective I am a lot less greedy than most people I know. But given how little I feel I'm capable of sacrificing for someone, I'm probably the most selfish person I've ever met.

No, never. Cheating is disgusting. If it was up to me, it would be illegal.

I'm also way too proud and respect myself too much, so nah, being somebody's "bit on the side" isn't for me.

If they are unhappy in bedroom that is something they should workout between their other half.

On younger days I wouldn't mind if they are married, happy, unhappy, with or without children. If I can had sex I would knock them right on the spot.

However that is not healthy or good for you. If the occasion rise and it probably will, you won't be the one have them... all you would have is loneliness and sense of being used.

Now I am too old for that kind of thing. I want something more solid hence me being as single as they come.

Nope. I don't want to get myself or anyone else in trouble. It's not so much a moral thing, I just don't want to get myself tangled up in a complicated relationship.

I don't really have a big moral problem with being the "side" guy. It's the person cheating on their wife and family that is guilty.

If they are married, absolutely not. Interfering with their relationship is not fair or right, and would be incredibly selfish of me. I couldn't.

Besides, I am a fiercely monogamous fellow. If I loved someone, I wouldn't be able to "share" them.

Not to mention how complicated and uncomfortable things would get in that scenario.

You're all so moral! What if their spouse had given their permission because they didn't want to have sex anymore? Would that change things?
