I'd take the cold over the heat any day. I'v had plenty of times where I had to be outside in -15 degree weather and I can handle it well just by bundling up. This past week though shows that any time that the temperature gets above 90 degrees I start to feel sick when I go outside for extended periods. Looking at it, it's probably good that I live so close to Canada.

I'm going to go with the unpopular option (what else is new?) and say "intense cold" is the worst. Being shivering and miserable with cold extremities is the worst.

I'm from Nevada--heat is my thing. I was in Vegas a couple weeks ago and it was reaching 110 and I loved it. Bring on the heat :sunglasses:

I can't stand the heat at all.

I dread every single summer because I know it's going to be unbearably hot (30 degrees and higher) everyday. Then, you got people who go and piss you off by saying ''don't complain! Winter was cold enough!'' Screw you. I take walks at -40. I wasn't the one complaining during the winter.

As for damage, cold temperatures are easier to combat because you can put layers on. Extreme heat will just cook you up from the inside, and there's nothing you can do to prevent it.

Well, considering that I love in Arizona and it averages between 100 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit every day, I'd say I'm pretty well aquainted with intense heat. For celcious users let me put it this way, the hotest temp a human can survive without being cooked alive is just over 130 degrees Fahrenheit. Like I said, I'm pretty well acquainted with intense heat.

Heat is the worst. I have barely any tolerance for it. Last year I nearly fainted in Las Vegas because of it. In the cold you can easily layer up and try to get warm (which I find oddly fun) but in summer trying to cool down is nearly impossible.

Intense heat is much, much worse. I can't wait for Autumn: Summer is dreadful.

Truest words spoken about the seasons. It never ceases to amaze me how many people swear by Summer being the 'best' season. Absurd.

For me, heat (forget that I live in a desert, have ancestors that evolved in the steaming jungles, and suffer from arthritis in the cold weather).

I'm a spring/fall person. I don't like extremes. I prefer warm for fun stuff outside but cool for sleeping. Here's its way humid and can be oppressive and miserable at times and then in the winter it's so windy and there's no escaping it! So either I have to wear almost nothing or else one million heavy layers.

its easier to get warm than get cold. with warm weather comes sweat, stickyness, and tiredness. not pleasant.

I have pretty much everything saying I should resist heat, I'm rather thin, born in a hot area, but I'm very weak to it in actuality. Everyone else in my family constantly dreams of beach trips and can't be in the same area with snow, but I can't even step outdoors here I'm so weak to it. The one time I got to see snow I practically spent the night out there, while everyone else was inside "freezing"

I absolutely hate the cold! I never let it get below 25ºC/77ºF in my apartment, and right now it is 28ºC/82ºF in here, just where I like it during the day (25 is great at night). I feel like dying every winter when the temps drop below 0ºC/32ºF, and begin wearing winter coats outside as soon as it dips below 20ºC/68ºF.

People say you can just add layers, but you can only add so many layers until you are completely immobile and/or look like a snowman. Not to mention I hate wearing gloves, and what am I supposed to do about my face feeling like it is freezing and peeling off? I will take boob sweat and grossness and all the other lovely things that comes with heat over that any day... I have been in heat up to 46ºC/115ºF and cold all the way down to -27ºC/-16ºF so I have felt both extremes.

Absolutely intense heat! Even though winter is really cold here in Finland, I can put more clothes on, if it's too cold. But in summer with 30 degrees celsius, it's just too hot.

But it's a funny thing that in summer 30 degrees is too much, but in the sauna it's 80 degrees celsius and it's fine

Although I freeze at anything below 60F I still hate the heat! Pretty ironic that I live in Arizona.

I saw a documentary of people who ran marathons in the literal desert where temperatures could be like 50 degrees C=122 degrees F. Don't know what they're thinking...

Relatable. We had like 50 degrees C in the sun a while back here, so I'd most likely say cold > heat...

Heat is worse. If you're cold, you can always put more clothes on. If you're hot, you can only take off so much without getting arrested...
