No, I don't think it it's weird at all. Trans people only make up about 1% or less of the entire population, I believe. Personally, I didn't meet a trans person until I was 28 years old.

 

This. Also you might very well have met several, but just have no idea they were trans.

 

It's not that weird. You've only lived fifteen years; you might meet one someday. ^^

 

A lot of times, too, post op trans people look exactly the same as cis people. You may have met a trans person and not known it. After all, it is a common desire to be "stealth"

 

Well I know about one since I have memory and she seems to be nice and lovely, yeah it's myself *I'm so smart*.

I never really met any other trans sister/brother, but mostly cause I didn't came out yet and I have never went yet to places where I can find other LGBT+ people
Well I have an answer for your question. At least most of us don't want to have a noticeable life/existence, we only want to live a normal or more exactly a quiet life and be loved as the gender we are/feel on our inside.

I'm old enough to be your dad, and I only just met one a little over a month or so ago, when my son came out to me as trans. And then I met a coworker at Pride. She's not out at work, but she came out to me at Pride since she assumed I'd be friendly. I wouldn't have guessed, otherwise.

 

I only know one trans person (other than myself) at my school and that's only 'cause he's a vocal member of the GSA club at my school. Because of that club, there's multiple others at my school who I suspect are trans 'cause I saw them hold up a trans pride flag for the club picture in the yearbook. I don't know for sure though 'cause I'm not actually in that club.

You may have met a trans person and not even know. I've known a coworker for a long time before she told she was a transgender (you can say she passed quite easily).

 

Honestly the important thing to realize is that you actually have met a trans person in person before. You've met lots of trans people. Your second grade bus driver might have been a trans person, or your mailman, or your professor. A trans person might have bagged your groceries yesterday. In reality, you've just never met someone whose outward physical appearance matches what you see in your head when you think "trans," and that no one has ever walked up to you and announced their trans-ness. Transgender people are everywhere. There are a lot more of them than people think.
