Bernie Sanders endorses Hillary Clinton - CNNPolitics.com

It was a long time coming, but Bernie has finally endorsed Hillary Clinton. Someone tell the millennials that it's over!

    :icon_wink

Does this mean anything at this point? Or will Bernie supporters still avoid voting for Hillary?

I sure as hell wouldn't vote for a super-villain like Hillary, but I've been on the Anti-PC TrumpTrain for ages now. Bernie was just a second option I kept open in case trump went crazy.

in my eyes, that he'd endorse her just means he values his party more than principles. it's off my list of people to vote for, probably forever.

Well, it's not "over". He's changed the political game greatly, and I applaud all his work. He doesn't have to be president to make change. He already has.

Also, he's gotten thousands of progressive people to sign up to run for office. That right there is some serious action!

I'm still skeptical on voting for Clinton. I really don't want to vote for her, even after Sanders endorsed her.

I guess it means that were closer to getting this election over with although that also goes for every day that passes by. I don't know if I'm gonna be sad or happy about that to be honest. On the one hand, this election was a complete mockery, especially the GOP (and that's not a generalization), but on the other, it has provided me with loads of quality entertainment and laughs I wont soon forget. It was starting to grow a little stale though. Oh well, there's gonna be a new lineup of crazies for the next election to give me more laughs.

Bernie's already accomplished his goal without even winning the White House, since that was never his goal to begin with. Ever since he ran for office, the Democratic Party has become more progressive than ever and has led Hillary to even change her views on several key issues. At the end of the day, I'd say that he went above and beyond for the American people.

I certainly hope you all are right about the increasingly progressive nature of the Democratic party and I hope that if Hillary does become president, that some of Bernie's ideas will have rubbed off on her.

I hope the progressives sort their camp out, then.

I think both Hillary and Trump are dangerous. Hillary will reinforce the USA's favourite passtime of bringing democracy and leaving chaos. Trump and Putin as a combination will lead to another cold war.

I've disliked this election since around November of last year, I just can't wait for it to be done.

Even with Bernie's endorsement, voting for her (or Trump) is unconscionable. I'll still vote for someone else.

I am as deeply saddened as anyone else at the depressing choice the American electoral system has (almost literally) coughed up...

Nevertheless, I think that now it will be critical to set aside this election and to focus on the future. What Bernie started, his political revolution, must continue! Hillary is a weather-vane, so it behooves progressives to make the weather!

IF the democrats do not reform (and everything looks that way at present), then it will be justice indeed that this party sinks into irrelevance by the next election cycle. To my mind, a third party will be the only way forward. So now is the time to field progressive candidates at all levels of government, the Repugnicans have held sway for far too long, now is the time for Berniecrat leaders to emerge.

Remember what Bernie said: it was never only about him, my hope is that soon, new visionary leaders who were inspired by Bernie's accomplishment will take up the torch he has thrown to them, the future is looking bright folks!!

In the end, Bernie will have won something far more important than this election: he has won the future!

Well, the Wicked Witch of the West Wing meets the Grand Wizard of the KKK. Can we just click out heels and wake up from this dream (in 4 or 8 years)?

does he have to endorse someone? I mean, if you think you have two bad choices to pick from, you punch the test-giver in the face and walk out of the classroom.

He probably did it in hopes that it'll prevent trump from winning and would rather have Clinton be president even if neither of them are really good choices.

Bernie supporters are asking for their money back, Did they seriously forget that you don't get your money back if you donate it? I guess so..

sounds like he's still adhering to a system he wants to change.

This millennial is still going to vote for Jill Stein. I'm doing it as a matter of gender justice, racial justice, economic justice, and intersectionality.

Its entirely possible, its not because of this but I e always had an issue with some of his supporters thinking that everything he says he'll do will actually be done or the amount of trust they were putting into him but then again, the same could be said about some supporters for any politician, I just specifically felt this way probably because I've been surrounded by Bernie Sanders supporters who have been like this, not that wanting change is a bad thing.
