    I turned 15 over a week ago, and I still don't feel like a fully-fledged teenager. I don't think my peers have ever pressurised me into doing anything. I've never tried alcohol, cigarettes or drugs; I've never had sex; I've never woken up after 7:30am, or stayed up particularly late; I've never paid attention to the Top 40; my bedroom is tidy and I get on well with my family. When I was a pre-teen, I used to sit and think about how awesome being a teenager will be, and now I've ended up the most boring 15-year-old ever.

    You enjoy it so much because it's applicable to the real world and you have more of a probability of using it after college versus using the Pythagorean theorem or can using or rattle off some math facts. When someone knows something is applicable beyond the schooling system, they enjoy it that much more. Applicability is the reason why most teachers try to connect the concept to real world situations.
