I was too lazy to go out for cigarettes... Bad bad idea. Now I won't fall asleep because of it until 7 AM.

I think with German, though, you have fewer arbitrary rules of grammar and pronunciation. The grammar is clear and pronunciation rules are almost entirely consistent. English, though structurally not very hard, is much harder to speak perfectly than regulated languages because there are so many silly mistakes you can make which are hard to learn formally.

Add to that the enunciation of English. I tend to pronounce "terrace" and "terrorist" almost the same way.

I'm taking French this coming semester. Should I be worried?

I'd love to meet the parents of somebody who celebrates Christmas and yet one year genuinely got nothing for Christmas one year as a kid.

I literally just kicked my sketchpad across the room out of sheer frustration at a piece I'm working on. It's not even supposed to be the hardest part of the drawing. Just tired of nothing I ever do working out like I want it to.

Sure, but if you tend to stay in the written relm (like me), English is much easier. German has concepts that languages like French and Spanish don't have, which makes it difficult to grasp for me (and a lot of people).

I do agree with pronunciation, though. I'm far from perfect with it, and I've been learning it since I was seven. However, it does not impact communication, so I don't really care.

I just had to write 80 to 100 words of swedish in my swede class, and got to 62 words till I gave up... Almost 5 years of mandatory studying and I'm still terrible at it... Oh well, one course more and I can quit swedish forever (!) (!!)

I'm scared of the future. It all seems dark and unclear. I expect things to go downhill unless I try like my life depends on it. Actually it probably does.

The holiday party I was dreading this weekend was actually really fun and cute. It went way better than I was expecting, and I was dreading it for two weeks. Take that, social anxiety!

Let's go! Only two weeks 'til everything has to be done. And what am I doing? Like a total idiot, I want to have more work to do.
Who am I and what have I done to that girl who wanted to play it safe until Christmas? Now I'm definitely going to drown...

If someone's trying to find me, look for a sh*t tone of work, I'm on the bottom :bang::bang::bang:
