I agree. I don't think anybody should stoop to their level. Just because they voted for an asshole doesn't mean they should be beat up for it. Ridiculed, sure, because they knew who they were voting for and did it anyways. But beaten up? No.

I found out that my younger brother kind of wanted him to win. I'm not holding it against him because he doesn't actually give a damn about politics and didn't really seem to know a thing about either of them when I asked about it. At any rate, he's not even old enough to vote, anyways.

My brother (who will be 29 next month) knew who and why he was voting. We informed him months ago about why Trump was not a good person to back, from his treatment if minorities to his business tactics and attitude if a child.
He voted for him anyway because my brother had longed believed that he can't find jobs because of Mexicans and African Americans (he completely ignores the fact that we live in a town of less than 6000 and that everyone knows he will quit his job to go chasing after a girl, abandoning the one he is currently dating in the process).

 

^ same cousin was 32 and spent weeks talking about how trump was the second coming of god and how everyone would be killed by swift grace of "God".

My brother is 17 and is more concerned with video games and his pet lizards than with who runs the country. He's not racist or xenophobic or anything like that, so I'm really not sure what his reasoning is. I think he just arbitrarily picked a side even though he knows nothing about and cares nothing for politics.

I'm not overly concerned. He can't vote yet anyways and even if he could it's a moot point now.

 

My partner and I just had our first talk about what we're going to do with the two fascist dictators in office now. You have no idea how hard it is to hear your husband ask if you want your name change to be your gift--but not mention getting his taken care of at the same time. It's so upsetting to see and hear that in the wake of a possibility of losing access to our HRT, that he's willing to give me his hormones too.

No one should ever have to have this fucking conversation. I'm so livid and distraught about this whole mess. I can't fucking believe this is still happening and a bunch of inbred hicks with five brain cells between all of them got a bunch of rapist child abusers in office....

 

I know right! It's driving me crazy.

Nothing helps. I should just go to bed, try to fall asleep and not getting more depressed than I already am.

Sometimes life really shows me how hard it can get. And I am too depressed to fight against it. Let's just wait 'til tomorrow, than I'm going to fight once again. Circle of my life, man.

It's been 2 weeks of no activity on my dating profiles.

So many mixed feelings.

 

Why would somebody knock several times on my door at 3 in the morning and disappear when I answer? Maybe the weather knocked something against the door or I've just had another fucking hallucination. I want to play my video games in peace. I guess at least now my anger is like a free energy to use on my game

 

I read an article in Scientific American Mind about how sleep deprivation can temporarily relieve depression. They did say it should be supervised by a doctor but I ended up staying awake... not entirely purposely but maybe a little. Not sure what hour I'm at now. Maybe close to 30. So far it does seem to be working Do feel tired and at one point my eyes were starting to hurt but mood has definitely improved.

Yeah I think at one point I was addicted to not sleeping. It releases endorphins which can give you a sort of emotional high, if you will. Apparently over time, or used to much in a row at one time, it can have negative effects, but honestly, it's probably a lot better for you than drugs. It's probably just one of those things you should use in moderation. The brain has so many natural chemicals in it already. I wonder if science and psychology will progress so that we can use less and less drugs and find more and more tricks, things we can do to release the chemicals we need.

It also aggravates me to no end that there are people within the LGBTQ+ community itself who are strong Donald Trump supporters. You'd think being a part of a repressed minority group, and being a member of this website, would boost your empathy levels a bit. The people who voted for Trump were either incredibly selfish or incredibly ignorant.

I think the most important thing now is to do everything we can to encourage people to vote in 2018, so that we can at least not have a government where the Fascist party controls all three branches.

It's not usually so bad except I'd have to spend nine hours behind a till, talking to customers and smiling, whilst my uterus feels like it's trying to eat itself. The second day is always the worst and I can't deal with that level of discomfort.

Saaaame. I'm also demi so I have to share an emotional connection with somebody before I want to date them. Apparently one of my customers at work has a crush on me and wants to ask me out, but somehow I don't think that telling him "could we just hang out for a bit because I'm not going to be romantically attracted to you until we're closer" would be a good answer to that.

 

I really hope that 2016 will end with a GOOD twist. This year has been the worst so far
