What are you thinking?

Election tomorrow....kinda scared

 

I'm going to present one of our dogs in probably one of the biggest, if not the biggest, international dog shows in Finland this weekend. (!) It's one of the highlights for me every year to go see the dogs and catch up with friends and breeders, but it's the first time I'm going there with a dog Hopefully it goes well...

 

Can't believe the election is tomorrow! Can't wait for it to be over.

 

There's this woman at my new workplace. When I got a tour of the offices my first day we saw each other across the room and we smiled at each other, aaaand it was like this prolonged thing. Later she walked up to me and introduced herself just smiling like crazy, which, made me smile too. I can't tell if she just really wants to be friends, or if there's something else going on. She makes excuses to spend time with me ever since. Even small things like sit really close to me. Ugh, why am I so bad at this. Nope. I'm probably just imagining things. Yay for making new friends!

 

Stressed because I can't find my voter registration card right now... problem is that it has my old address which I didn't bother to change 'cause 1) I moved just within a mile or so so the polling place would be nearby regardless and 2) I had the card. :eusa_doh:

Now I'm worried about not finding it or having any valid identification for the polling station. Fuck. :bang: :bang: :bang:

The fact I came so far in coming out and I'm slowly getting used to everything. It doesn't consume as much as it did before and I'm starting to branch out.

 

One of these days I need someone to grab me by the face and say, "Alec, you're gay."

 

It almost feels like a legitimate holiday, I've been looking forward to the election finally being over. It'll be interesting on the 9th, the President of my University even sent out a giant letter to every student warning about large consequences for violent reactions to the election.

 

Really? That's scary. :\ Hope nothing bad happens..

 

Most people are worried about the presidential election tomorrow but tomorrow I find out who my new boss is. I work for an elected sheriff and this will be my first boss change in the 11 years I've worked for the county. It's a big deal as we really want one to win but may be looking at the other winning...some deputies are counting retirement days and have already checked out other departments if the one we don't want wins. The winner can also come in and clean house...our jobs are protected when a new sheriff is elected. I think most on lower levels will be fine but I know the captains and above are all sweating!

So much for any more sleep. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. But the only thing better than Election Day is election Night.

 

Can't sleep, stuck watching news coverage...

 

Shouldn't we have some kind of election results topic? That way we can keep posting updates about incoming election results and discuss them. =]

 

Well, guess everyone is awake for the election. I currently popped an aspirin and listened to some music and will probably try to get a few hours of sleep.

Ughhhhhhhhh. I am so fucking sick and I just want to sleep but I have one more shift of work tonight and I want to dieeeeeeee.
