I can't wait for reading week.
    I don't care that it's only 3 days. It's 3 days that I get off.

Planning outfits is fun. Especially in the women's section.

I just got out of reading week myself. It was a needed break. On another note, three days? What a rip-off.

Nice... All the tag alongs to Faith and Tim... At the same time, don't underestimate yourself... June 2017 is a loooong time away. Hell, life changes on a dime. Just be open to it and it will come.

So I've decided last minute that I'm gonna go trick or treating. I'm just going to put a bunch of name tags on and right random names and go as identity thief.

It's pretty sad when someone you work with won't speak to you just because you proved them wrong about a very known fact in history. Like, you dragged me into the discussion, and you expected me to let you spew things that are 100% untrue? For example, she tried saying that 90% of all inventions were created by African Americans. She even tried saying that Thomas Edison was black. I researched solid proof against these claims, and she got quiet and would not speak to me. Every time I say good morning or ask how her weekend was, she answers very bluntly. I know there's nothing wrong with her personal life because she's acting all fine and dandy with another coworker (who also happens to be black). She even had the gall to say "white people 'bout to have a war on their hands because of these police brutalities". Are you serious? What does that have to do with white people? So I said, "Then tell me why 7 out of the 10 most dangerous cities in the nation are majority black? Tell me why the crime against black people is mostly committed by black people?" She got very quiet and actually agreed with me. But I could tell she was miffed. I mean, I live in Birmingham, which is one of the most dangerous cities in the nation. There are over 200k residents here, and 73% are African American. But the white people are the ones who have a war on their hands? I don't believe it's a race issue. I believe it's a culture issue. I was ignoring every discussion she was having until she deliberately dragged me into it. It's like she's trying to pick a fight with me! From now on, I'm just going to tell her I don't feel comfortable with being a part of that particular discussion; if she ever speaks to me again.

I'm so sick of being treated this way.
