This is happening right after singer Christina Grimmie was shot and killed at a meet and greet over there. This is pretty crazy. I think something will happen with the gun laws here pretty soon. Second morning waking up to news about a shooting in Orlando -- which is not usual at all.

    Shaking my head over here.

This is just awful, I know there's a lot of hate towards the LGBT community in most countrie and the US certainly isn't immune to that as we've seen, but this is senseless violence and destruction of lives.

It's hard to express the sadness and shock that I felt when I heard about the event. How can someone feel so much hate to choose to enact such an act. My heart goes out to the victims of this tradegy. :icon_sad:

Let's call it what it is, a hate crime.

Such a horrible tragedy, how many people have to needlessly die before action is taken towards gun control?

In shock that this was purposely aimed toward the gay community, police are saying more than 20 dead and 42 injured, my heart goes out to victims and their families. Devasting :icon_sad:

During the Ramadan, a shooter identified to be named Omar(?!) Martin killed gay people in what pretty much seems to be a well organised attack.
It doesn't get more obvious than this.

And, of course, this all might be a gigantic coincidence, and the shooter could be a tanned-Trump supporter. It is plausible, no?

A pic of the "awesome" boy responsible, if the sources are correct.

This is so awful. At one point there was 24 shots in 9 seconds... thoughts are with the families of those killed and injured.

I'm crying. Deadliest mass shooting in the US history. When the fuck is the US going to wake up with their gun laws.

My deepest condolences to everyone affected by this senseless violence.

Maybe not ISIS itself, but their doctrine. The islamists doctrine. There is still not enough info, though the case looks like it.

I see people blaming gun control again, as if someone with such strong desire to kill wouldn't have been able to find a way, had the guns be forbidden.

Only positive outcome is that Trump will gain even more supporters now.

NBC News has apparently spoken to the shooter's father, and he indicates that his son saw 2 men kissing a few months ago and became in raged by that

I wouldn't say it's directly ISIS related, but I'm pretty sure it's at least ISIS inspired. It's probably like the San Bernardino shooting. ISIS inspired, but not directly ISIS. ISIS will probably condone this attack sometime today, like they did before.

It was a terrorist attack. Gun laws won't stop these types of attacks. They may help prevent some everyday shooting events, but this is a case where the perpetrators will get their weapons one way or another.
