We're in Quebec. We don't close schools xD

Actually, at my highschool, parents complained that the school closed too often, so they stayed open even when the weather was awful. They say that if the school buses can handle it, they stay open. So, they only close if there's a very big snow storm and visibility is nonexistent.

At Cegep, it's even worse. It simply doesn't closes x)

*Oh, I forgot to add that our schools have days that are made to be used if they close for snow storms. They're in the late spring. We have like three days that we call ''day 0'' and if there hasn't been missed day, it's a day off. If there were, the ''day 0'' turns into whatever day was missed. Though, that's only for elementary and secondary schools. Cegeps and Universities just makes the semester longer if anything goes wrong.

I have had five but they were caused by flooding, not snow.

Huh, I didn't think everyone would be so unlucky!

In Baltimore, we had the single biggest snowfall within a 24-48 hour period on record; 29.4 inches at BWI airport, and measured as high as 32 to 48 inches to the north and west. So that was a big, contributing factor, especially in densely built cities like DC and Baltimore, and being in a state that is somewhat southern.

I love the way it creates a quiet calm, and makes people slow down, relax, and stop having to be so obsessed with being busy, chasing the $, and all those things endemic to the faster-paced East Coast cities.

Plus, it looks pretty, and I miss the snow in northern Michigan...and being a Husky-Pup, well, we love snow!

We haven't had much snow this year, and it didn't last long either- it melted away in the space of a day. It's been a while since I've had a snow day, it's usually thin, "slushy" type snow here, not really good for anything really- I mean you'd struggle to make anything out of it.

So yeah, no snow days for me so far. Plenty of sunny but freezing days though, or as my auntie-in-law calls it, "useless sun". Still, it's nice to see the sun again.

Lol, here, it just makes people complain a lot more about how the weather is horrible, they have to clean off their car, shovel the driveway etc. It doesn't relax them here, that's for sure x) It gets kind of tiring, honestly when you're one of the few who likes winter like I do :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Oh my gosh, I can't really think of the exact number of days but I do know that we had a week off of school and a few days the next week after it. Even today was a snow day for me so I got to stay home. There was so much snow the last 2 months.

NYC almost never has snow days. It especially sucks because of the area where I live that's extremely neglected and taken advantage of. We'll have a few snowplows on the major streets only, and they'll have a snowplow on every street in Manhattan. If we have three feet of snow, but Manhattan has zero, "The city is perfectly capable of functioning, and it's perfectly sunny outside" and my car will be completely immobilized. :/

It's been in the 80s and 90s due to record highs! :frowning2: but either way I wouldn't be having one.

Snow is lots of delicate crystals that fall from the sky, gracefully covering the landscape in a surreal sparkling blanket.

    One.

My old school used to close whenever there was even the tiniest bit of snow, but the school I'm at now only closes when the snow is really deep.
