In the next few days, Pokémon will be 20 years old. This serie has brought a lot of fun to a lot of people, and the fun won't stop here (probably). In the past few months, there have been some announcements, some of them are weird, like the game "Detective Pikachu", some of them look great, like Pokken Tournament (With 2 Pikachus, 2 Mewtwo, and only one character from Gen 5 and 2) and some of them are very unexpected, like the Pokémon 722, Magiana. What do you want/expect in the 20th anniversary of this great serie?
Although I lack an interest in the newest generations of Pokémon, I'm glad that it is still alive and well. I'll never forget seeing Pokémon the First Movie in theaters when I was 8. Good times
I think it's pretty obvious Gen 7 will debut this fall as one of the launch titles for the NX. The main franchise skipped last year, and the only other time that happened in the last 12 years was the year before they released X and Y, which were the biggest leap forward for the franchise since arguably the first game. So, whatever Gamefreak has in store for the next release, it's gonna be bigger than just another iteration on Gen 6. With the rumors of the NX being a handheld/home console hybrid, the general belief that it will release on Q3, the fact that this is Pokemon's 20th anniversary, and main Pokemon releases always coming out during the fall, all the stars have aligned for Gen 7 to bring Pokemon to the Triple A league. It's gonna happen.
That would be something I would love, if it was possible to get all of them here. There isn't a single chance that I get Mew, Darkrai, Genesect and Arceus. Well, I hope this time Nintendo Network works here.
Oh, come on. Tell me there isn't a part of all of us that wouldn't watch a gritty, grown up Pokemon anime.
They are releasing a new Pokemon for XY and ORAS every month starting this month with Mew, most will be released via wifi, but 3 of them will require stopping by GameStop including this month's Mew. Also, I don't think they are releasing a Gen 7 because they have been busy with PokemonGO, an app for your phone to catch and raise Pokemon in a real world setting. Instead they will close out Gen 6 with Pokemon Z. Oh, and you have until the 24th to pick up a code at GameStop to get Mew.
Soooooooo who told you Gen 7 was coming out this year? That's right, this little demon right here Spoiler
Sorry if I ruin this, but the one who posted this was a parody account. But, who knows? I may be wrong. At this point, everything is possible, even Chair and Table editions.
Nope. That parody account just hopped on the scoop. That guy on the tweet (Nibel) is actually the real source, he posted in a NeoGAF thread (earlier than that parody account, btw) that Nintendo Co., Ltd trademarked not only "PoKéMoN SUN" and "PoKéMoN MOON", but also their logos in the European trademark database. That's right, Nintendo themselves created and own these logos. Pokemon Moon and Sun are legit. Proof: Spoiler What Nibel is bemoaning in that tweet isn't the veracity of his own claims, is the fact that VG247 accredited a parody account as their source (instead of him) and claimed erroneously that it was the official Nintendo account.
I would actually save up to buy a Wii U if such a game was announced. Add in character customization and an expansion of the Under, and it would be perfect. Most of all, I really miss the hexagon brothers. They were hilarious.
So is Pokemon Sun and Moon a thing?! Or not? I want Espeon and Umbreon to be given to you depending on the version.
Oh fuck yeah. Dibs on Pokemon Sun, unless Moon has a better looking legendary lol. There is gonna be a Nintendo Direct tomorrow in celebration of the 20th anniversary that will likely clear everything out. Oh and Umbreon masterrace ftw
If Sun/Moon are real, the only thing I know is that Solrock will be a Sun exclusive and Lunatone will be a Moon exclusive. They are a sun and a moon and have sun and moon in their names (Sol=Sun, Luna=Moon).
