Christian university in Tennessee has been granted a Title IX waiver by the federal government to ban students who are gay. The waiver obtained by Carson-Newman University will also allow the university to ban students whose lifestyles go against their Christian philosophy. In addition to gay students, that includes students who are unwed mothers, women who have had an abortion, pregnant students and others. I don't think an intelegen employer would hire someone from this university. Or as most of us would say "for fu*I sake are they for real!" :bang::bang:
Remember kids, Christians are the most persecuted people in America today with the Obama administration being the biggest perpetrators of this definitely real persecution.
I'd expect more educated behavior from well, a place of education, but ignorance would die out if it didn't poison more children. Oh, America.
I may start a university that bans Christians. Theoretically, that should be allowed, no? A Christian university by its very nature bans non-Christians. If they can ban one group, they can ban another. That's the problem with private institutions.
True, but there are those who will insist on swimming against the tide. No idea why. Perhaps they have an idealistic thought: I can be the one who changes this! Or perhaps they have a case of pure, unadulterated, crazy masochism.
lol.. That's just making what's prophesied in their bible seem more true. You doing that won't help anyone out any, to be honest. :/ Just causing more hate and discrimination.
That was not meant to be a serious suggestion, but we all know there are some groups society considers okay to ban and some that it doesn't. If this university had passed a waiver to ban black students, do you think it would be allowed? But if they ban gay students, it's not as much of an "uproar". But theoretically speaking, the possible bans should go all across the spectrum. If one isn't considered discrimination, then none of them should be.
You know what? That's most likely a school that LGBT people did not want to go to anyways. At this point, the waivers are just telling LGBT people the schools that are really unaccepting. It's still dumb that these are allowed, but at least it gives people an idea of what schools are terrible with LGBT related subjects.
Let's get real, folks... You should take all your students and examine them more closely. Here are some ideas... 1- Did you ever had a single homosexual thought? 2- Did you ever had a single impure thought ever? 3- Did you ever had a single doubt about any single item of The Christian Faith? 4- Did you ever even think about a Preacher being wrong? 5- Have you ever self abused? ... And there is more, of course there is more...
One thing that does annoy me... They mention this waiver is for Title IX. I don't know all the details of Title IX, but know it has a connection with federal funding. One hears the most of Title IX when it comes to school sports programs. Title IX is why girls now actually have athletic options at US schools, compared to many girls in many schools 50 years ago. I don't have a problem with a college deciding to discriminate. It's their right with a right of association. But I do have a problem with the thought that they are--apparently--getting federal funding.
I also have this problem, I fail to see why it is acceptable in the minds of legislators to expect LGBTI people to subsidise discrimination against themselves.
This is so stupid! I can't believe they are going to deny people there just because of who they love... this world can be so cruel...
