East Coast-Ready for the big snow?

I keep hearing for my part of the state, we're either going to get hammered or almost nothing at all. I'm all for a good ol' blizzard, but not shoveling the sidewalks with my bad wrist. When it snows, it snows here. You'll clear one part of the sidewalk, then when you turn around to go back, you need to re-shovel.

 

Most of the times I would say totally yes, because school cancellations and delays of course. But my dad works delivery, so I kind of get stressed when I know he's out there on the highways all day, even if he is a jerk sometimes.

 

A bit pissed, the best we got today in Georgia was just some sleet then rain. Like Fo' real? UGHHHH i need snow. Excccccept.... now our schools make us go online and do schoolwork.

 

I'm probably getting a bit less snow than you guys, but we've already got a few inches on the ground right now. I love snow! I can't wait to go sledding and I might get to go tubing on a mountain with my friend!

 

Too bad I live down south.

I have enough food for about 3-6 months, though :lol:.

 

I love snow for the first month or two but hate it after January. I'm kind of glad I don't live in Philadelphia anymore because this late in the year, I just want it all to melt. But have fun guys! Stay warm!

 

In my area, it's predicted to snow starting this Saturday anywhere from 5-8 inches.

I have work on Saturday but IDK if this snow is enough for my boss to close the pharmacy. If it's not, then I'm not looking forward to driving to work in the snow -_-

My brother is a truck driver and said his boss told all employees to stay home on Saturday because of the snow. That's good news because driving a truck in the snow would probably be difficult...

 

Sounds like fun. We haven't had a snow storm in 3 years. Well, unless you count 2 inches that melted on the same day a snow storm. The UK definitely isn't a good place to live if you like snow.

With all due respect and apologies to HuskyPup and all of you who like snow, all I can say you are welcome to it. I literally wish my life away during the winter months, November - April. If I could hibernate, I would (easy on the bear jokes). Morning commutes are the worst; white knuckling it in to work due to snow, ice, and wind. Snow looks pretty on postcards. A dusting through the Christmas season is fine, otherwise it s nothing more than white death. The gods laugh at me every winter as with Sisyphus and his rock. Having lived in DC, Winston-Salem, NC, and London, I know that even a 1/2 inch of snow can mean a relaxing day at home curled up with a good book and a cup of good, hot tea. For the rest of us, it is nothing more than work as usual. While you stay in your snug homes, think of us who truly have to do battle with the nasty stuff.

Having lived in NY my whole life I love snow and these last 2 winters have sucked. The most we've got this winter is like 2 inches and it looks like this storm is going to miss us :-(

I miss the days when we would get hammered all winter long with snow!

 

I don't get snow.

 

I'm pretty happy about it because that means that school would be cancelled for a few days. The only thing I worry about though is the ice.

 

Yeah, but wish I had somebody to cuddle with. Yay for cuddly dogs.

We're getting it right now. I'd say 2-3 inches already, and it's still coming down strong. Next door neighbor is outside making snow angels. :icon_bigg

I'm like a kid in a candy store. Snow is different; it isn't something you get everyday so I enjoy it.

 

Well! Build snowmen and make snow angels enough for all of us here who never get snow lol.

 

Ohh Husky so naive, our schools have worked around our devious plan and allowed us 3 days upon return to complete work. So its not so bad... :tears: (who am i kidding)
