To be honest, my hypothetical dream job is one in which I can do whatever I want, whenever I want, wherever I want, and my only responsibility is to make sure I get a paycheck. Unfortunately, that job doesn't exist (but could exist in a post-scarcity economy, which we may have in the future due to automation). Given what jobs are available, my skills, what work I prefer doing, and all my values, my dream job (out of jobs I can realistically get) is in software testing. Many would prefer development over QA, but I like QA for various reasons. I almost got such a job at Apple, but I messed up the on-site interview thanks to anxiety and lack of confidence.
My dream job would be to be a blogger of some sort, and to work from home. That would give me some passive income and allow me to travel the world.
I'd love something low-key, maybe in the outdoors. I worked in customer service for two years. The word "difficult" relating to customers would be an understatement. :eusa_doh: At least I learned people skills! At least I think I have.... Some peace and quiet would be nice for a change. Maybe like a national park ranger or something.
To be a professional artist, and to be paid decently for it. It's going to be a long time until I'm that good, but if I actually get paid enough to get by that would be amazing. I've always wanted a fancy gaming computer, but stuff like that seems impossible to afford. Maybe if I saved up for a few years..? Eh. I have other "talents" and such, but I'd much rather be an artist than a programmer from my own experiences with both.
Something with lots of money involved. I would like to be a published, regularly working author that people actually remember. ---------- Post added 15th Dec 2015 at 10:15 PM ---------- Why not both? If you're a graphic designer who can code, you may be able to score gigs designing websites for clients and that can be very lucrative.
I'm an Internal Auditor by profession and I just want to lend in the a right company not so I climb that ladder..
The kind of job which I can sleep all day at home and people bring me money for no reason. Just kidding. I want to be a politician. But I don't know why I end up studying Journalism.
I hope to be a barrister, which just came a tiny step closer with my grades certain to get me into studying law next year. A relatively typical dream, but it's something I think I'd genuinely love. And it's a goal I'm willing to work myself to the bone to achieve.
My dream job? The one where I can support myself and make a living. But if you really want to know... I want to be a counselor for people with mental health problems, maybe even gender identity or sexual orientation. I'd be like a real-life EC!
Envionmental work. I think it'd be really cool to do field work in remote areas. But environmental microbiology is also very interesting, so maybe lab work? Idk
I would like to be a translator as well as doing artistic stuff on the side and maybe music. That's actually what I'm studying for right now I would like to translate entertainment stuff like movies, books, video games etc. I don't want to work in governmental offices, especially federal ones (I'd feel like a traitor). I guess I'll see if I'm able to translate what I would like.
Porn director good choice Actor, but also a little singing. I also need something to make use of my other brains, so Geneticist.
