I'm turning into a cynical old man at only 25. I suppose this was the most likely outcome considering what my life's been up until now.

Really? Tell that 18 year old to piss off, and go and do your thing.

We start on poetry tomorrow in English, but as long as we're not doing about that poem where some woman stabs a metaphorical wedding cake, I should be fine. That was a weird poem.

Hopefully this'll be the year I'll pass my maths and English, I really don't want to be redoing it for another year. It was bad enough failing the first time. Well, I only half failed my English- I passed lit. but not language. :frowning2:

I hope my tutors will be satisfied with my graphics project, I've certainly spent enough time on it. Last time I got a distinction in my graphics, but I'd take a pass level at this point.

18-year-old can go fuck himself. Nothing wrong with going to college at 24. You're going back when you're ready at least.

Same here. Except for the job thing. I have that. Just no license. Or permit... I'm getting the permit next month though and I'm just hoping I can have the license before school starts this fall. I doubt I'll actually own a car by then but it would be nice to at least be able to get my driver's insurance and get one step closer.

I won't ever understand that mentality, because it makes more sense to go when you're ready rather than just go straight out of hs because society somehow dictates that it's what you're supposed to do. It's right up there with how many people make college out to be a 'make or break' in regards to whether you can live a fulfilling life. Not counting how many people are out there with college degrees at the earliest of ages who either aren't doing shit or jumped into areas that they weren't even sure they wanted.

I haven't kept up with that in a while, but did he just pull this out of his ass or something? Is the guy even ready for something like this? I know Shane has long since detached himself from the WWE pretty much, so that is strange af to see, and not even in a good way. Like lulwut?

Well. Adding a solute to a liquid makes a solution, right?

The solute, such as Sodium Chloride when tossed in water interacts with the water (think ion dipole interactions for simplicity). When the water is too busy dissolving the sodium chloride ions, it is unable to freeze at its normal temperature, therefore it needs lower temperatures.

This is a good example of why glaciers are made of pure water, but the ocean which is concentrated salt water is still liquid barring the most extreme low temperatures.

As far as boiling point elevation goes, the same thing happens. The sodium chloride in the water is having an attractive effect on the water, such that the water molecules do not escape the liquid state as easy and it requires the water to overcome the extra attractive intermolecular forces from the added solute.

Basically the dissolved substance makes it harder to freeze and let molecules pack and it also makes it harder for them to let go and go flying off into the gas state.

    Does that help?

Sometimes it helps to hear from someone else. But I'd be bad at my job if I couldn't help you out. Glad I helped.

Exactly! My friend is defending the move claiming "no one saw this coming" and he is right, but not in a "this is everything I didn't know I wanted!" way, rather in a "who asked for this?" kind of way.

Like, I'm sorry, why am I supposed to be excited about this? Since when has Shane been an entertaining wrestler? I know Taker knows how to bring the house down, but he is not getting any younger—and in any case I don't think Shane can keep up with him.

You know how this is tho, the WWE nowadays is little more than a hollow shell of what it used to be. All these asspull comebacks no asked for are just the product of them not knowing how to push new talent, so they retreat to playing the nostalgia card over and over again, but every time it's less effective since they long ran out of all the holy-shit comebacks we were clamoring for. Shane coming back out of nowhere is just the nadir of this system.
