Five years ago, I went to an open house event at the university I currently attend. I walked into a room with a dummy patient, IV lines attached to it, a screen with vital signs, and a cart of medications. The tour guide said that pharmacy students in fifth year would practice codes in order to hopefully save the patient. I thought to myself, "Really? Didn't know I would be a part of this experience..."

Lo and behold, five years later, today, I practiced my first simulated code with a team and it was the scariest thing I've ever done. But at least I learned a lot

That's funny, and here I was, just about to start a thread called, "Ask whatever you wanted to ask a Furry", where I'd tell all!

    ~

Well, the city is hobbled by snow; I won't be back to work at the University library until Thursday. So it's a bit of a vacation, though cabin fever is setting in. Did enjoy some great sledding last night, and again today.

I've been doing a good bit of reading; folktales of Madagascar, history of Madagascar, mammals of Madagascar.

And then finishing up a bit of Thomas Mann.

I also need to answer some messages on my wall...there's at least 4 people I need to get back to, and I'll have some replies soon, I promise!

Oh how I want to terrorize the Abrahamic religion threads. But no, will just stay out of it....

...Considering how the atheist thread turned out, maybe I shouldn't start threads when drunk.

I'm steering clear of all of the religion threads. I was so, so tempted to post in the atheist thread, but nope. And I've tended to be even more hostile towards religion recently. Best to just not even go near them.

But yeah, as a rule, doing much of anything while drunk tends to not turn out well.

Sometimes I wonder if gay couples have the same (gender) issues straight couples have. Is there an equivalent to boys'/girls' night out? What about a man/woman cave? Are there separate bathrooms?

These problems happen where one has the money to allow them to.

As one half of a gay couple, there might be equivalents of them, yes, and those who could afford to might have separate bathrooms, and what not. Depends on how much space you can afford, especially in increasingly expensive cities.

I'd love to have my own little study, one day, where I could go to write and stuff.

Another workout in the books. I've already lost some weight and I've got some wind in my sails. So far so good.

Lol I'm posting in there....it seems to have turned into a bit of an atheist bashing thread rather than asking questions...but I'm up to the challenge :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

This show gets me irritated sometimes because of Brandon and Callie, the predictable storylines, etc.

My sister now thinks I am a genius because when I started listening to music, the music she was listening to on a different computer stopped. What shall I do with this power? I know! Listen to Queen! What else would I do?
