Phew, two days of Holiday parties, and me and my mate are a bit worn out. One thing about Baltimore: It's a city that's always ready to let loose and party.

Today, my mate's gift arrived in the mail, a selection of board games, including Snow Tails!, a sled-dog racing game, which I've found very fun. Also got Tuscany (the expansion to Viticulture), Auto-Mania and Eldersign. Thus, we have a lot of table-top gaming to get to, and I have till Jan 4 off.

I'm still waiting for my own gift to come from the UK, a new set of hand and foot-paws for my puppy-outfit, blue, with pink paw-pads.

Overall, it's been fun just to spend the holidays with my mate and friends, and not have all that family pressure; I'll see my folks near Miami this March, and we'll celebrate then---plus, I've never seen their little place in Florida, nor have I ever seen Florida. I really wanna see the swamps, and any wildlife that might be left, and whatever cool/artsy/counter-cultural parts of Miami there are.

Anyone have any tips on cool things to see near Miami? I definitely want to see some of the Art Deco architecture, but have no clue as to what parts of the city would be most interesting/unique.

 

The one main thing I dislike about the holidays is having to wear a dress because "you mustn't disappoint your dear ol' aunt". Ugh, I hate that thing-it's pretty hideous, plus I loathe wearing dresses of any kind- I don't mind others wearing them- and some can pull that look off rather well. But I'd certainly prefer not to. There's been very few dresses that I've ever felt comfortable wearing- give me a pair of jeans any day.

Still, I get to wear jeans under it, so half-victory for me there I guess.

Christmas eve has actually gone pretty well. Siblings and my mom are trying pretty hard to get my name and pronouns right- huge change from last Christmas for sure.

Just found out a mutual friend was assaulted by her partner though. So...yikes. And I thought her boyfriend was actually a pretty nice guy. What a horrible thing to happen to her on Christmas Eve of all days.

 

Wondering where I can find myself a nice boyfriend!

My parents had the audacity to drink a bottle of champagne that I got for Christmas from one of my bosses at work while I was taking a nap and they didn't even apologize. I'm not getting paid at all yet so the only form of appreciation I get are those little gifts. I am so angry. No, I'm not crying.
