    Hi guys!
    I am a programmer, I love coding.
I am totally obsessed with software!!!
Favorite languages: C, C++, Java and Python
I hate Visual Basic, its syntax puts me off, and is extremely confusing at times!!
I like Object Oriented Programming (Ahem C++ )
    Made some watchfaces for Pebble.
    And am starting with Unity!

    Any coders, shout out loud!
    Would love to talk tech

VB was a part of oir curriculum, needless to say I hated it.
Its a mess. C and C++ are more structured and reader-friendly

I'm pretty okay with C and Java, but can't find the time to practice or just play around with the languages. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: However, once I do find the time, I intend to go after VB

Currently in the process of exploring several coding languages in order to determine what elective classes to take part in during the upcoming years of high school. I'm quite new to the whole concept of coding to be honest.

Yeah, but I don't get to do as much of it as I would like.

Most of what I do these days is Ruby, but I've worked with lots of languages over the years.

I know PHP, MYSQL, Javascript & JQuery really well. I took a class in C++ and a class in java and have explored Python, Ruby, C#, and Swift. I absolutely hate Objective C, Ruby and any syntax that is similar to basic (if .... ). God it's aweful. Why do you need "unless true" statements! What the hell Ruby... Okay Ruby rant done. My favorite would be PHP at the moment because I do a lot of server-side programming but for general desktop & mobile apps, I love the syntax and speed of C#.

You guys are so smart with all the languages you know!

I dabbled a little bit in Fortran. Now I've moved on to bigger and better things...namely Octave/Matlab.

    Python, C++, C

    SQL doesn't really count...

I tel myself I'll do something with Haskell or Ruby on Rails soon...

Why do most C programmers quit?
    Because they don't get arrays.

    Or pointers, apparently.

I got my computer science degree from the University of Victoria. There was this guy I was pretty attracted to at the time, in CSC 360 "Introduction to Operating Systems." That is, I was attracted to him until he complained that he couldn't do the second assignment because "pointers are hard."

I can do some coding in HTML and CSS (building websites and such) plus I've learned quite a bit of Python and SQL. I want to learn Java, C and C++. Coding isn't my passion, that's musical theatre, but it interests me so I'm doing Computer Science as a subject in college, because my mum won't let me do Drama and Theatre. I guess it's good as a backup though.

Teehee. I'm wondering how he got to an upper division class without learning them. But yeah. There was a cute guy in my discrete math class, but he didn't get predicates so...

And UVic. Bunnies! (I spent a week on campus there. I'm officially immune to rabbit feces.)
