Oh, I've way, way overdone the cake the past few weeks... and cookies... and glazed apple fritters (all time favorite).... and sour cream donuts... and beer... I love you, carbs. But I think we need some relationship counseling.
I'm a carb junmy and its baaaad. Suppose to be eating buckets od protein but i just can't. Need. Carbs.

Whenever I feel bad about eating a bunch of carby foods, I just remember that it's a human instinct because carbs give you quick energy Probably not good to justify it, but at least I feel better
We just had Canadian Thanksgiving and that always sets me back 2 weeks I <3 pumpkin pie and we have it in spades :|

I love carbs so much I once made a joke that I wanted to open a buffet restaurant with nothing but carbs. breads, pastries, rice, pastas, potatoes All of which are my favorite things. I could survive (probably not healthy) on breads and rice alone. For me a good snack is a plain soft bread, cuban & puerto rican is my favorite.
I don't know if I could survive on just rice, but the bread works. Preferably with ham. And fried plantains/tostones. That'd be a nice touch.

Me and my two brothers were raised it in a single parent household by my dad who was also at the time active duty military on a military salary. there was often times all we had was rice, ramen, and a loaf of bread. When there was more our dad was often too busy to cook so we learned to fend for ourselves. Throwing a cup of rice in the rice cooker or grabbing a few slices of plain sandwich bread was easy for a kid.

I love almost all carbohydrates. Sometimes, a slice of sourdough bread with nothing on it will taste just right.
