Somewhat. I'm sure my answer would be at least "mostly", if I was interested in enough of it. I'm very talented at using knives, and that's about it really. However, I do have some hidden character depth, such as being proficient with machetes, tomahawks, and my claws.

I was probably better at DIY, when I was younger and using more types of tools. Honestly, the most mechanically inclined job I've done this week was change a lightbulb.

I was looking forward to our woodwork class during my 2nd year of high school. One of the first things our teacher told was us was basically "Now, I know you can't wait to drill holes in a piece of wood, but first I'm going to tell you all about how my friend lost some of his fingers!" Lol

I'm very proficient with the sexual kinds, and can use them with great precision, strength and accuracy.

    The other kinds...I'd say moderate.

I've never assembled anything from Ikea, apart from a used Lack end table. That said, I've assembled other brands of furniture, and found it a miserable experience. I'm almost tempted to say that if one can assemble furniture properly, with no disasters, than one might be a master craftsman.

I'm terrible when it comes to anything requiring craftsmanship. I'm decent at using a sewing machine and when it comes to repairing clothes, stitching and making things out of cloth. "Oh look at the fruit designing clothes ha so gay"

I don't even know how to wire a plug, so I'm more than useless with most 'mechanical' things.

I've put not at all simply because I'm more clumsy than clueless. I can instruct someone step by step but when it comes to me using them I'm so clumsy, to the extent I hammered a nail through my hand! Not advisable lol. And that's just one of the accidents :icon_redf

Right now, none at all! But that will have to change because my field will require it.
Sonicboom has conducted so many polls, I wonder what nefarious purpose he's after :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Voted somewhat. I've used the occasional hand tool/power tool, but my knowledge and skill are limited. My husband OTOH is super skilled with them and has taught classes on how to use tools safely. He's kind of a one man construction team and know carpentry, paint, plumbing, lighting, some electrical, etc.

I answered very, simply because I have a knack off getting things fixed. Also I learn really quick when it comes to mechanics. Though when it comes to numbers... i may as well be dislexic because numbers confuse the heck out of me. How I passed algebra is beyond me lol.

Does launching a screwdriver with a crossbow, that you made in wood shop in middle school count? Because if it does, I'd say I'm decent.

Now when it comes to repairs, I tend to let others do it if they have the experience and skill. However, I watch and observe, thus learning a few tricks and techniques. A few times , though, I've probably made mechanics uncomfortable, but it's my money and I want to make sure it's being spent wisely.

I find unorthodox ways more appealing and fun than the traditional.

I've never really had the need to use tools and nobody's ever taught me, so I'm absolutely hopeless.

Somewhat. I learnt to hack at things, whack things and drill things in DT, and I've learnt to do guitar maintainace and stuff which involves some handtools. When I learn to drive and get a car I bet I'll get pretty good with 'em.

I voted very, more so because it is a love of mine rather than speaking to my "skill level," per say. My father was a landlord, so I practically grew up in Home Depot. Love power tools, love working with my hands. Great stuff.
