"In 2013, conservative reality TV star Josh Duggar—of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting fame—was named the executive director of the Family Research Council, a conservative lobbying group in D.C. which seeks “to champion marriage and family as the foundation of civilization, the seedbed of virtue, and the wellspring of society.” During that time, he also maintained a paid account on Ashley Madison, a web site created for the express purpose of cheating on your spouse. "In May 2015, Duggar was forced to resign after In Touch Weekly reported that he had molested five young girls (four of whom were his own sisters) beginning in 2002. When the accusations became public, the family went into crisis mode, insisting that Josh had reformed and that the media covering the claims was intent on “exploiting women.”" More here.
It looks pretty airtight. Two accounts, the first one with a credit card in Josh's name, going to a billing address that is Josh's grandmother's house. The second at Josh's address in Oxon Hill, MD, also in his name... and conveniently, the second account was only cancelled in May of 2015, right around the time the evidence of his sexual assault of his sisters came about. Never ceases to amaze me how much these holier-than-though people have really shady stuff right below the facade.
Don't worry Josh. It gets better. :icon_wink He should have just stuck to screwing around with his sisters. At least he knew his parents would help him cover it up, the girls would be told it was their fault, and there wouldn't have been a paper trail.
Just a fun security tidbit: Ashley Madison had an account enumeration vulnerability via their password reset page. They screwed up so that the response coming back for when your email address is NOT in their database is different from the response that comes back when your email address IS in their database.
How stupid/arrogant do you have to be if you're a guy in the position he was, to have an account with a site like this in the first place, but to also leave a paper trail like that? I get that the site was hacked and all, but still, that's mind boggling.
Dugger has admitted being unfaithful - http://www.buzzfeed.com/stephaniemcneal/josh-duggar-admits-cheating#.ovLj43l2E Shame he didn't think to apologise to all those people he demonized while at the FRC too.
Please remember to use and disseminate these wonderful photographs of our new best friend, Josh Duggar, hob-knobbing with half the clown-car participants in the republican candidate parade.
To be fair it isn't Joshy-Boy's fault. Clearly "the gays" are to blame due to their ruining of the sanctity of marriage, with the "gay mafia" forcing him at gunpoint to cheat on his wife. I almost feel sorry for the poor fellow. What's his new message going to be "Marriage is between one man and two, maybe three women".
This just keeps getting better and better. LOL. At least he has admitted that he is the biggest hypocrite ever.
"I deeply regret all hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example." And he has learned ABSOLUTELY nothing. He doesn't care that he hurt his wife, nor does he care that he hurt other people. The fact that it hurt his reputation is what bothers him, and so I could care less about his "apology".
At the time I posted it, he hadn't officially confirmed it and Gawker was one of the only sites running the story...
Can't find the article I read now, but it pointed out this data dump of all the users will affect those users potentially for years to come. Now every suspicious spouse or SO or employer or the military (adultery is a crime in the military, punishable by jail time, and lots of the e-mails were from the .mil domain) can check to see if you're on this version of Santa's naughty or nice list.
