Raised Catholic but I'm an atheist since about the age of 14. Deeply fascinated by world religions though.

SemiCharmed, I used to work at a Jewish summer camp and I loved the bread they ate before Sabbath. I want to say it was called "holla?"

I'm atheist, and I try to make that very clear to others.

Vaguely Christian. I don't go to church and put a lot of faith in upper clergy. I do believe in the teachings of Jesus who I always say would be a huge lgbt supporter. The loving forgiving god of the new testament is the part of Christianity I try to hold onto, not the hate spewing condemn everyone to hell old testament doctrine.

I'm skeptical about most things in the world, even many things that people take for granted. So, I voted non-religious. The correct term is atheist, but I try not to use that word much because I have found that it inherently offends some people.

I am a proud if not always perfect Protestant Christian, my faith is what has helped me get through so many crisis and trouble (health issues, sexuality issues, gender issues) and guides me towards trying to be the best I can be in life.

Raised an Atheist, still am one, although I do still believe in Heaven, sort of. I do really admire world religions though, specifically Buddhism.

I don't have a religion, and I'm a Chaote, so I use chaos magic. I do what works best, so I might even incorporate clearly fictional beings such as Tzeentch, into my ever-evolving magic system.

I'm an anti religious atheist and hope for the day all the religions of this world are gone so humans can finally rise up to our fullest potential.

    Happy days

I do believe in god, spirit guides, angels, devils, karmic debt, and reincarnation. I do try and study tarot.. but I'm a lasy potato most of the time and meditation, I also meditate and astral projection. I do respect all religions and don't really get upset when people use religion to bash others. It's to be expected, so I just let it go and continue about my day. (!)(!)(!)

Exactly what you said. I find it interesting how even in America, Lutherans vary so much. There are two bodies here: ELCA - (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) and MS - (Missouri Synod). MS is very conservative and at one wouldn't let women serve communion or allow non MS members to take communion (even other Lutherans). Meanwhile the ELCA is much more modern but is split when it comes to social issues and how liberal each church is.

I do not follow any particular religion, and this is because I reject the concept of the exclusivity of religion. I do not believe "One religion is right, and everyone is going to hell". This is the doctrine of most of the world's religions and I simply believe it; I can't believe it. However, I do believe that it is possible that a higher power exists. If one does, then I believe that all religions are an attempt to access it. No one religion is right.

An honest question to everyone who identify as atheists (which I fully respect, I don't mind what you believe or don't believe. <3 )

What would be your response to the notion that a lot of atheists dislike religion so much that they spend as much time and energy thinking about religion as believers?
And what is your response to that Atheism isn't fully a thing in its own right at all? Like Neil DeGrasse Tyson, the astrophysicist, said (paraphrasing): 'There's no special club for non-golfers. Why form a community for people who do not play golf? If you don't like playing, then don't play.' ..?
