What cold symptom is the most annoying to you?

Sore throat

 

Fatigue...
As a med student i can handle the other symptoms with appropriate meds, but so far i haven't find a good stuff to ease the fatigue

 

For me, it's the sore throat. I can't stand not feeling like eating or drinking. Although most often my sore throats only last one day, occasionally I've had them last for almost a week. It's a nightmare. I don't like the histamine symptoms either (itchy, burning eyes and watering nose), but I can put up with that compared to the sore threat.

 

Sore throat because it makes talking or swallowing anything a pain in the ass. Nausea is horrible too. But the worst symptom of all is feeling dead and laid up.

Runny nose, I've never had nausea with a cold, otherwise I'm sure it would be that instead. Man, do I hate nausea.

 

I can't stand having a stuffy nose. Especially at night. I'm not normally a mouth breather and I always get a sore, dry throat and have to drink an ass-ton of fluids whenever it happens.

 

Sore throat, hands down. I don't care about the fever/fatigue or the runny nose, and I guess I'm lucky in that I don't get achy or nauseous from colds. But the sore throat? Fuck the sore throat.

 

Runny nose while it's also congested. I just feel like I can't breathe.

 

I agree about the sore/irritated throat. I don't like swallowing & having that feeling. It use to last for a few days when I was a kid. Then, when I started taking vitamin c daily, the rare times I would get a cold, that part only lasted a day.

 

Runny nose, no question. So miserable.

The only one that really bothers me is sore throat. No matter how bad it hurts and how hard you try not to, you swallow every 2 seconds to see if it still hurts. Ugh!

 

I don't necessarily mind the actual oozing coming out, but because I keep wiping it, my nose gets really dry and usually starts peeling.

 

Runny nose! Because it drips whenever it likes and sometimes its really inconvenient to blow it especially if you're in a public setting. :x And sometimes I leave the unused tissues in my pocket and I forget to take 'em out so I end up having tons of tissue fluff all over my clothes after I wash 'em!!

Runny nose, especially if it just runs and runs and then, gets red, and hurts. Plus, I love having a sense of smell and taste...I find when I can't smell things, I also have no sex drive, and that tends to make me very depressed.

I normally have a very keen sense of smell and taste, so when I lose them, it's disorienting.

 

I have one now too. Being stuffed up and the runny nose is the worst.
As for a sore throat, take Tylenol. A friend of mine who is a nurse told me that a few
years ago, and it does make it less painful. After all, Tylenol is for pain.
I would rather have the flu than a cold. Throw up a couple of times, and it's over,
whereas a cold makes one miserable for about 5 days or longer.
