Love Dogs. Cats are irritating and just get run over.

I love them both. I have owned cats and dogs and both show love and affection in their own ways which is great. They all have left their paw prints on my heart

Love both of them. I grew up more with dogs but now I have two cats and love them very much.

I understand some people favor dogs because you can do more with them; however, I strongly prefer cats. They don't even have to do anything to be adorable.
I also think people mistake dependence for undying love in dogs.

Dogs are cuter than cats if small.
    Dogs have duller claws.
    Cats are softer.
    Cats cannot be guard dogs.

    2 pros for each...

    I don't mind dogs, but I would rather have a cat
Dogs tend to lick you in the face and be extreme too, and I'm not about that

I like all animals. In the past I've preferred dogs over cats because they are generally friendlier, but I have a cat at the moment that is very friendly to me. In some ways she acts like a dog. She always greets me when I come home, she plays fetch, comes when she is called, sits on command, walks beside me when we are outside. She even fought back against a dog who came running up to her suddenly, had the dog running away and yelping, and tried to run after it.

Some people don't like her though because of silly superstitions. (She is all black)

Dogs by quite a margin, but cats are ok in their own weird way. That must mean I like both.

I noticed that. You know what they say about guys who like cats ...

    ---------- Post added 7th Aug 2015 at 07:37 PM ----------

That can happen with both types of pets but I've heard it happen to people's cats way more often. That would suck after having a cat for 3, 5, or 10 years and bonding with it.

Well, I grew up with cats, so I'd have to say cat person, but I don't dislike dogs or reject the idea of owning one.
