    Is it neat or messy?

Mine is not horribly messy, but it's not the "perfect girly writing" that many of my friends have. Sometimes it is a little (asymmetrical?)

For some reason, I always wondered if there was a link between orientation and handwriting (you NEVER know, right?!?!). There does seem to be a link to gender....

mine is somewhere in between...let me see if I can upload my own writing...

Depends. If I want to, I can write rather neatly. But if I'm writing quickly, nobody really understands what I write

I don't really identify with any particular gender, but am male-bodied so I did not vote in your poll - I will say that my handwriting is extremely sloppy*. Which I presume contradicts the reverse stereotype for queer men - that their handwriting is somehow more "girly?"

*In fact I would say that the "messy" pic represents about how my handwriting looks when I try to slow down and make it look nicer. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

If I write in a hurry it looks like shit. If I'm writing normally it usually looks neat but I have a tendency to write in a somewhat asymmetrical way.

Awful ^_^ Sometimes even I can't read it.

Also varying from very small to normal... like one letter on a page can be 5 times the size of the smallest lol.

Well I'm trans, born female but always felt male. I had good penmanship when we were still printing but with cursive it didn't come naturally, I had to work at it. The school I went to was very strict about it. We had all letters of the alphabet both capitol and small in cursive on a border around the room and we had to copy it perfectly or pay a hefty price if we didn't. Though I never wrote as neatly as most of the girls and I never wrote as sloppy as most of the boys.

As long as I have one of my medium tip fountain pens my cursive looks great, but if I dare pick up a ballpoint pen or pencil I cannot even make half of what I wrote out. I do not print unless calligraphy is needed like on a greeting card and I use dip-pens with various broad tips for that. June

My printing is horrible, though my cursive is good. I never use cursive, except for signing stuff.

Not a messy (when I was a child it was really a messy), it's fast and easy to read, that's all I need. I like to do calligraphy though.

    Imagine of my handwriting

    My writing is messy.
I've learned cursive writing in which the way learned to write some letters makes it a bit less redeable- eg. I was taught to write some letters with unnecessary wavy bits at the start -, eg. the capital W. With small letters, such as makes it incredibly difficult to distinguish between the u, w, m, and n letters- the all look just like waves.

The small letters p and b were taught 'open', the small s looked weird.
The capital I looks like a J- etc. ( he small k and l even had extra loops- not present in the example)
I have been trying to unlearn some of the style- close the open letters, cut out the waviness and loops to make a more clear and readable style- but this leaves me with a clumsy style where I struggle to connect all the letters- and once I write fast, it all becomes a mess.

    The alphabet I've learned:

Mine is neat for most of the time but sometimes it can be messy when I'm in a hurry or just don't care. I mostly write in cursive and sometimes when I have to hurry finish writing, the words look like another language and I can't even read it.

i Have a fairly neat handwriting that I inherited from my Dad, and I have cousins and an uncle who have a similar handwriting. So, it seems more heredity than gender or sexuality.

And, if you can get the sample of my handwriting orientated correctly, you have a very easy and very tasty cake recipe

Ooh, you have a very unique handwriting. It's reminds me of one of those fancy fonts from Microsoft Word!! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Your link doesn't work :icon_wink But I imagine it is something like my own, being "fast and easy to read... I should actually attach something (I sort of forgot, oops!!)

Here is mine: (hope it works!) 20150711_070430.jpg

Nice!!! There is almost something mysterious/exotic about it. I really have the most boring/blah writing... I have no idea where I got it from!!

Quite atrocious, really. I've been told by several professors that I "write like a man," or a doctor...

I can read it though, so that's all that matters... right? ....right?!?
