The Phantom Menace. It's the only SW movie I can sit through and enjoy, and yes I love Jar-Jar Binks.

Apparently, Lone Ranger (the version with Johnny Depp) did not do well... and I loved the hell out of that.

Me too! All the older Adam Sandler movies were great.

*judges EXTREMELY SEVERELYFOREVER with prejudice* ^_^

Let's see. I like Alien 3 almost more then I like ALIENS. Otherwise I mostly just dislike movies other people like. Oh, I have a soft spot for disaster movies, as long as they're well made. (which doens't really seem to happen anymore..)

I already posted here, but I forgot: Spiderman 3.
It was the first Spiderman live-action movie I saw, and I enjoyed it.

They definitely don't compare with the original series. But on their own, or comparing them to an outside source (ie. other movies from around then) they were very well done.

The original series did so well, that when the prequel did not compare, everyone began throwing fire at it.

Unfortunately that kind of thing happens a lot. With both movies and games. Which is why most people consider sequels/spinoffs to be inherently bad. Not because the movies themselves are bad, but that you're comparing them to something that did so much better than regular. An anomaly if you will.

Jaws 2,3 and Jaws: The Revenge. Quality comedy right there.

I like it too, largely due to the outstanding choreography.

When you look at the writing, the prequels are still terrible, terrible movies. But they make alright "spectacle movies", as I like to call movies with a lot of flash but no substance. They can still be entertaining, but the writing is either "meh" or cringeworthy.

The actual dialogue? Or the overall story?

Because I felt like the story had potential. Though the dialogue was definitely... iffy.

My major issue with the story was the lack of consequence. Characters could do/say things that would take a different turn if it was actually happening. I know they had a premade destination point that they had to factor in, but they made a lot of the interpersonal actions not realistic.

I think they could have fixed things up a bit, sure. Made me want to punch characters less. The acting wasn't A+ quality either, which definitely hurt the series.

But I do agree that they are more "spectacle" than story-driven.

Though a lot of movies are now.

But I don't hate the movies by any means. They have faults. But I still enjoyed it.

I liked all The Pirates Of The Caribbean movies! And I don't know many who don't besides my sister. A lot of people find them boring but.. JACK SPARROW C'MON! He's so funny! Pirates is definitely my mother and I's movie.. We love that whole series and Titanic and 50 First Dates.

I loved Little Nicky too Tulip! But I don't think it was a movie that was disliked?! Any Adam Sandler movie is awesome to me.

I also loved Just Married (Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy) but I think alot of people liked it also!

    I'm sure there are more!

Alien 3 is what immediately comes to mind.

It probably doesn't help that George Lucas has said, if Episodes I-III were done first, that Star Wars wouldn't have been as embraced or liked.

What really hurts Episodes I-III is the way the material was handled. Episode I feels like a mass advertisement; and it didn't help that during that, everything had an Episode I-exclusive variation of their product.

Episode II is a huge improvement. While I don't detest Jar-Jar Binks to the level many do, he fails as a comedic character. He's fine as a character, if the goal wasn't to be funny. And this is one reason Episode II is better. It also stops coming off like a massive commercial.

Episode III, on paper, probably looked amazing. But when you see it, some of those scenes didn't translate well. I remember the scene when Padme walks off the ship, stumbles and dies. It's so awkward-looking, that it totally kills the dramatic point they were making. However, Episode III does have one of my favorite scenes, which is the Great Jedi Purge, and seeing Anakin, cloak and all, walking with the clones following behind him. Truly awesome.

My issue with the prequels isn't that they aren't Episodes IV-VI, it's that they have a different feel to them. I wouldn't harp on this so harshly, but when the three films display moments of that charming Star Wars flare, it comes off as insulting to the movie-goer, when it is ignored or replaced with something less. They know they could plug these moments up, but they rush or half-ass it.
