Some people love them, others hate them: what's you're take on these noisy summer sandals?

Me, I find them horrifying; the look, the sound, that uncomfortable feeling of that strap wedged between your toes.

I wish the question had more options to it. I -hate- flip flops personally(as in I don't wear them), but I love seeing other people wear them, seeing as I have sort of a foot fetish. It's almost a hobby to admire a cute guy's feet if they show.

I guess the poll is asking for a personal opinion though, so I'll go with that.

I don't mind them. Mind you I don't usually wear them myself.
If I had to, I would.

But I'd rather sneakers any day.

They look dangerous. It would be very easy to twist or break your ankle wearing them, and the sound they make is annoying.

I don't own a pair however I think they are part of fashion and I love fashion, put 2 and 2 together, that's how I feel.

PS. that is not to say they can't look horrid, but the same is also true for any clothing or accessory if worn "incorrectly".

Huh? Jandals don't necessarily need to have that, you also have those like these:

I voted neutral in the poll. I don't really like to wear jandals like the ones you posted, but I do love to wear those like in my picture. =)

I don't find them visually appealing but they're comfy. I wear them all the time around the house, at least. I prefer sneakers when I go out but just because I hate my feet.

okay i have three reasones i adore flip flops
    1. i love painting my toenails and flip flops help me show that off
    2. sneakers make my feet feel smothered and i get all sweaty and its just not pretty
    3. flip flops are gender neutral so anyone and everyone can wear them, black, white, man, woman, gender fluid, ect.

I hate them with a passion, and I will never ever wear them.

Sneakers forever. Guys in nice sneakers >>> guys in flip flops.

Uh, sorry, but if you live in FL, you're probably wearing sandles and flip flops a lot.

Otherwise, congrats on your sweaty, smelly feet. Probably have toenail fungus too.

When I was a young kid, I wore them for a while. They caused a blister between my toes which became infected. So for the last fifty +/- years I have not worn them and never will again. I don't care if others do, although I find them tacky. I have no problem with other open-toed footwear unless it's socks with sandals.

Back in the 1960's, we called them "zoris"

Love is a strong word, I like to wear them, especially uring summer.
Also own and occasionally wear a pair of these:
Which are much more stable than the cheap, pastic/rubber, Western flip-flops.

I don't hate them, but I never wear flip-flops. Mainly because my feet get very sweaty if not wearing socks. :icon_redf

They're awful. I would rather chop my feet off than wear flip-flops. I hate seeing people's feet exposed in public.

    neutral,
i think using flip flops are practical and appropriate in several circumstances like in beaches or somewhere near a body of water.
but it should be avoided outside such circumstances

My aunt made a Wreath completely out of flip-flops. It's gorgeous. I like flip-flops, only if they aren't painful / annoying.
