Marriage Equality is now a reality for all 50 states in the US! :icon_bigg I'm currently closeted to my family and am living with them temporarily, so no big celebrations for me. :-( I do plan to party with my friends though, maybe make some weird rainbow cocktails or something. http://www.buzzfeed.com/lindsayhunt/pride-alicious-rainbow-food#.dsdp1W04n http://www.buzzfeed.com/rachelysanders/rainbow-recipes#.fr5omVX1a http://www.amazon.com/Final-Touch-Rainbow-Cocktail-Layering/dp/B00C2537ZQ I've also been planning to see the L Word and now sounds like a great time for a marathon!
I don't have any plans. Wish I had something though. I woulda loved to have gone to the 'official' rally/celebration .. but me being closeted, and the time it was held at, made it a no can do
I hear ya. I hope there will be more celebrations in the coming days. I live near a big city and can travel there w/o the folks knowing. There's got to be something before the month is out.
Same here.. I also live somewhat near a big city & was truly hoping there'd be more events/celebrations. I was looking online to see if there was anything tomorrow morning (as that would work really well for me), but no luck. Oh well maybe they'll be something Sun afternoon...
Attend another protest against my own government. Of course it won't be a direct result of it, but the ruling will add fuel to the fire just as the Irish vote did.
Celebrate at home since I can't go anywhere, between my schedule and my parents' work schedules. But it's a good reason to eat a crapload of rainbow oreos!
my brother came over. and we had fun he did invite the cute guy friend:icon_redf let's say we had a little get together.still beats being alone.
I'm not a drinker, but I popped open a mini bottle of sparkling wine I had in the back of the fridge to celebrate XD;;; Could barely get to sleep after hearing the news (the news broke at 11 pm my time, haha)
As a Canadian, a Facebook status update & some conversations & positive vibes with friends and coworkers was how I celebrated. So glad for those of you in the states. It's a long time coming, but I'm glad it's here
Another for the "closeted so celebrating internally" wagon. Yesterday I wanted to deck myself in rainbow (I don't have anything rainbow) and watch happy LGBT movies, but I didn't. Although I am thinking about coming out to my three best friends because I know they'll be accepting.
I got myself a fine dinner for takeout last night. This morning, I ran 11.68 miles and treated myself to breakfast. I am going to buy a copy of the news paper so I can save it. I'm probably going to fencing in a while. :3
Am I the only one who could not watch the coverage because all it did was scream that im the only lesbian alone left in the world and everyone else is taken, and now running off to be married? it was painful to watch. Yes im happy about the marriage thing, but it does little for me. numbness basically.
