I'm still in shock by all of this. It almost doesn't seem real. It feels like something out of a wonderful dream. I'm very happy for those who are now able to marry and very proud of my country.

This is such a wonderful day! The mayor here is marrying folks this afternoon in a huge ceremony - no need for anyone to wait any longer!

    It's such great news

It's just a shame the French and Tunisian terrorist attacks today have drowned it out of the news.

I am so freaking happy! This is a huge step in the equality of LGBT+ people and us being accepted for who we are. This is amazing! I debated my mom on why it should be allowed and she had no response!

This is easily the best thing that has happened in the last decade.

I'm in Mississippi. They are using a technicality about repealing an existing ban to stall. Its okay though because a lot of places know this is the right thing to do and are giving licenses anyway. The paperwork will catch up with the people. This is a happy day! I walked straight up to my professor (very conservative) and said "I win." He is really mad.

Just wiat. It's only a matter of time that some or other far-right Christian commentator claims gays caused them, because God was angry about them getting rights.

I can totally imagine this in 50 years: an 8th grader taking a test that asks what day LGBT marriage was legalized in all states!

The answer? Ariana Grande's birthday of course

It's about fucking time. Now I'm totally fine with marrying my partner in his hometown. All I'll say is that the bigoted comments in response to things are hilarious. It makes me imagine these people are in their 80s, waving their canes at their computers or crying into their Bibles. Some people will never, ever change.

    This is history being made!

Now I wonder what will be the reaction. I dearly hope there won't be violence.

Yes, America! Yes, yes, yes! What a fantastic day  Congratulations to all you guys who can now have your love recognised (*hug*) It just goes to show that attitudes are changing. Yes, there's always news of some homophobic incident or other, but that's only because now people realise that homophobia is not okay, that homophobia can no longer be accepted as a part of society. A major step forward, and an historic day for the LGBT movement! (!)
