    Why are final tests necessary? It only makes it harder for everyone to get into a college they like. Plus, they have to learn all the different subjects to get into a college where they don't even study the subject they were tested in the final exam. Wtf school system?

    Well, the prognosis for the moment is good. With a stroke, there's what's called the Golden Hour, where statistically speaking, you have a much better chance of surviving a stroke with little to no permanent damage if medical intervention occurs within one hour of the onset of symptoms.

    When they wheeled her out of here, she couldn't even feel her extremities, but now almost 12 hours later she's regaining movement ability in her left side, though her right side recovered shortly after the drugs kicked in.

    We caught it right as it was starting, so the brain damage should be minimal and the clot didn't burst because we caught it in time and we got her to the hospital early. For the record, the things to look for in a stroke can be described in the acronym FAST

    Face-have the person smile to see if they have partial facial paralysis
    Arms-have the person raise their arms to look for paralysis, usually only one side
    Speech-is their speech slurred, or can they speak at all
    Time-what time did the symptoms start?

    So tonight at 11:00 I have to pick up my aunt at the airport, as she bought a last second plane ticket up here, and then take her to the hospital. Going to the Michigan game helped keep my mind busy, but now things are just too hectic. We'll be okay though.
