Another thread inspired me to start this one. What states have you been to and what state was your favorite and least favorite? I'll start off. I love going on road trips and have been on quite a few. I've been to: VT, NH, ME, CT, MA, RI, NJ, PA, MD, DC, VA, WV, NC, SC, GA, AL, FL, LA, TN, OH, MI, IL, MO, OK, AR, TX, DE, MN, NY, KY, MS My favorite has to be NY (biased I know) but I love everything from NYC to the beauty of the Adirondack mountains to Lake Ontario Least favorite so far AL- was hot and long stretches of road with nothing
Here's a map of the states I've been to Favorites are California, Colorado, and Oregon. So much natural beauty. Least favorite is probably Delaware. There's just nothing there. It doesn't help that the only times I've been were once driving straight through without stopping and once when I went to a wedding and got way too drunk, made an idiot of myself, and puked a whole lot at the fleabag motel I stayed at.
I've only been to Illinois (obviously), Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Pennsylvania would be my favorite, and Wisconsin is my least favorite. I've been to New York if you count the airport on a connect flight.
1. Oregon ( hope I live there one day) 2. California 3. Nevada 4. Arizona (live here now) 5. New Mexico 6. Texas 7. Oklahoma 8. Missouri 9. Illinois (from there) 10. Wisconsin 11. Tennessee 12. Kentucky 13. Georgia 14. Florida
IL is on my list of favorite states because I love Chicago. I've been twice and love to go back again. Outside of Chicago I've only been to Bolingbrook (to visit a friend) and Aurora for shopping I think.
Ahem. I'm from Cali .. so of course, I love my state the best haha. Pacific Coast Highway, Big Sur <3 Sequoia National Park, Lake Tahoe to Skii etc etc. Been to Arizona, Nevada, Wyoming, Utah, and Idaho. Top 3 so far: 1. Cali 2. Utah 3. Wyoming Really want to go to Vermont, Hawaii, and Oregon.
Minnesota, Texas, Maryland, and New York (I'm from NYC). I really want to visit California when I can afford it...
If we count every state I've physically been to/in. If you mean 'stayed for at least one day', that number drastically shrinks down to: - Kentucky Obviously. I live here. - Tennessee I used to live here. - Virginia 3 days. - Florida 2 weeks. - Georgia 1 day. - New York - 1 day. - New Jersey 3 days. - Oklahoma 2 days. Favorite: Kentucky, but only because I know it the best. If I cannot pick it, then I quite enjoyed Florida. Then again, I was staying in Orlando, which is near everything. Least Favorite: New York: Too loud, too crowded, and everything is so damn expensive in comparison. If 70% of the population vanished, maybe I'd like it better. Then again, I only saw New York City.
I'll be checking Colorado off my list this summer! And I've also been to St. Thomas and St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands if that also counts. I really enjoyed Arizona. That would probably be my favorite aside from Texas. I don't have a least favorite.
Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, California, Hawaii. Pretty sure that's all of them. Favorites have to be CA and HI, and by far my least favorite was Mississippi.
"Full" vacationing in New Mexico, Colorado, Louisiana, and Florida. I live in Texas (which should count as 4 states :lol, also have been to Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Wyoming. Didn't travel too far as a child because my mom won't fly.
Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Florida, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York
Don't feel like listing them all so I made an image. 27 in total or 29 if you include layovers. Favorite would have to be Either Washington or Hawaii because that's where i've lived. Can't say i've gone to a place long enough to have a least favorite but if I had to pick most likely Georgia or south carolina. I'm not a southern fan. i didn't count layovers but if you count them, new york and illinois. Oh and i've been to DC. New York and New Jersey to be added to my list this summer.
That I can remember... Illinois, Michigan, Arizona, Texas, Utah, Indiana. Probably a couple more, but can't think which. I liked being the US when I was a kid.
