This is a question for transmen and genderqueers I know some transwomen dislike having one... it causes them a lot of dysphoria. I was wondering if NOT having a prominent adam's apple could cause dysphoria, as well.
Yes, I wish I had one But with testosterone, it will appear because of the lengthening of the vocal chords
Without plastic surgery I can't imagine, because it's under the skin, and on the throat of all places.
Interistingly, not all men have a prominent Adam's apple (all males have one, but not all "show"; actually, everyone has one, but the angle and smaller size for females means it doesn't "show "). As for trans guys, I don't think this is an area that is exactly a "hallmark" of maleness since many cismales don't have relatively prominent ones.
I have never thought about it much. I would like to have that but as not all cismen have visible adam's aple I don't feel like I should necessarily have one. I don't think people pay much attention to adam's apples either. It would be extremely difficult to fake adam's apple I think. You could propably make a suitable lump from silicone and with some mad make up skills it could maybe look real but I don't think it would be very practical.
I honestly don't find them overly attractive, so no, I don't think I want one. Pre transition or post.
