U.S. judge rules Nebraska same-sex marriage ban unconstitutional The gay apocalypse is happening :roflmao::roflmao:
The fact that this no longer surprises me is what I like the most. Although, these rulings don't really matter much anymore. The Supreme Court will be the final decider in this.
I wish I could be happy about this, but you know what's going to happen. They're going to find a way to reverse what just happened and justify it as "constitutional"
Well actually Alabama ruled there gay marriage ban unconstitutional and then they legalized it just 2 weeks later. So never say never.
Even if they find a way to do that in the next 90 days, the Supreme Court SHOULD settle this once and for all and legalize it nationwide.
^ They probably will, but states are going to try and dodge it in any way they can. They already are. They did that when blacks were fighting for the right to vote, and they're currently reversing things that the Civil Rights Act of '64 put in place. I'm becoming less angry at the GOP and more terrified of them, especially now that they've taken the vast majority of Congress.
I'm sure they'll keep chipping away, but victories are still victories with real positive consequences. The only quibble I have with what you wrote up there is the past tense. They're still fighting for white supremacy.
Well you know what ya guys? If you read the page it says that gay marriage could be legal there by the end of the week.
