To be honest that is hardly news. Now if UKIP announced a sane and well-balanced parliamentary candidate that would be headline worthy.

His biggest claim to fame was writing Sinitta's hit records "So Macho" and "Cruising" which both became gay anthems in the 1980's, making George Hargreaves a millionaire from the royalties and which saw him later move to The Isle of Man as a tax exile.

Ironic much!

And he is black and standing for a party notorious for being racists, you would think that would be enough to open his eyes to how hypocritical his homophobia is.

Although I must admit I do love this actual quote from the man:

I love it, you'd think the Welsh are raging satanists regularly carrying out ritual sheep sacrifices the way hes going on.

Incidentally, I've just had the UKIP leaflet through the door, pretty much what you'd expect along the themes of: What climate change?! Down with the Green Tax! Frack the country dry! Keep Britain British! Lock the borders! End the namby pamby liberalism! etc etc You know, the usual.

The sad thing is, I'm guessing a lot of my townsfolk will buy into that, and the other parties are yet to make any announcement. I was going to vote Green out of a bit of a protest, but now feel I might have to vote Labour just on the chance its close between them and UKIP!

 

Hence why I said "Starting to". They're not quite there yet, but they're damn close.

 

How on earth could anyone be so stupi- Oh wait, it's UKIP, never mind. How they got more votes than anyone else in the euro elections, I will never know.

 

Thing about UKIP, you will either be crazy enough to vote for them or you won't be.

If you haven't been put off already by the casual racism, xenophobia and sexism, you won't be put off by homophobia.

I have faith in you Great Britain, you don't need this nonsense in your parliament.

Didn't have that much of a chance anyway. Sitting MP has a majority of over 3000 and UKIP's last two candidates has never polled above 2000 in that area.

Going by the numbers from the last election there'd need be a total collapse of the Conservative vote with all of them voting UKIP, a lot of Labour voters staying home/switching to UKIP and a lot of Lib Dems not bothering to vote or voting for someone that isn't Labour.

If anything I'd say Labour's got a decent chance of making the seat even safer than it already is.

 

Another little gem from UKIP today:
UKIP councillor Rozanne Duncan, who sits on Thanet District Council, was recorded as telling UKIP press officer Liz Langton Way: "The only people I do have problems with are negroes. And I don't know why.
"I don't know whether there is something in my psyche or whether it's karma from a previous life or whether something happened to me as a very, very young person and I've drawn a veil over it - because that sometimes happens, doesn't it?
"But I really do have a problem with people with negroid features."

She was fired for her remarks
