Difference between porn sex and real life sex

    Hi guys :slight_smile:

    Just a topic for discussion,

    In what way does sex in porn movies differ from sex in real life?

    To tell the truth, I am not really sure. :confused:

    Its mostly release. The dimension of love and partnership is missing.

    Its unrealistic and sets unrealistic standards, like models in beauty culture.

    People should be reminded that their bodies are unique and things can be enjoyed. Its not a run to a goal.

    A few things...

    First of all, appearance. Women don't have the unrealistic/plastic bodies in porn, and men typically do not have such huge penises which cause men who watch porn to feel insecure.

    Most people don't use condoms during porn and this is something everyone should do.

    The moaning is very unrealistic and staged, even in some gay porn.

    Fetishes and activities are usually out there. Normally people giving blowjobs don't do it so gross and sloppy or spit on their partner. They also don't show partners applying lube or stretching for anal sex which is 100% needed.

    Real life sex does not look as glamorous and 'pretty', in real life the first time is awkward and unenjoyable usually, and there are messy mistakes with bodily fluids, it's full of sweat, it can smell, etc.

    Mostly true. However, I've had sex with people much prettier than most porn or "homemade" actors.

    There is a trend for more condoms in porn, thankfully. While I -personally- don't feel condoms are -always- neccessary and it's quite fine to go without in some cases, the fact that most of our youth use porn to educate themselves alone should provide a good enough reason to petition for condom-only porn.

    Entirely untrue. I've had highly enjoyable sex with some very sexyloud people, and it can be quite the turn on if you're into it. Now every single person is different when it comes to moaning or what sounds they make during sex in general, but there are quite a few out there who are just as loud and excited as porn actors during REAL sex. Also, why "even in some gay porn"?......

    Depends on what you and your partner(s) like. There is sloppy sex out there, and more if it than you may think. However, it's not the "rule" as it seems to be in porn. I concur with the portrayal of anal sex 100% though, it's ridiculous that they just skip the whole lube and stretching part of it.

    Ridiculous. Of course real life sex can look just as, if not much more pretty and beautiful than porn. When you're with someone beautiful you love or like, you're there, first person, and oh boy, it's quite the view, and you can TOUCH them! Thanks to a generally higher interest in how sex works, first times in sex are less and less regulary awkward and unenjoyable. My first time was highly enjoyable, by the way. Which was probably due to at least one of us being quite experienced - But there is something called "being natural" at sex, that also helps.

    Bodily fluids, yes, but I wouldn't call them "messy mistakes", that's silly. It CAN be full of sweat, and it can smell, but fresh sweat doesn't stink, and most people who enjoy sex also like the smell of pure SEX in the room.


    One more thing I'd like to add:

    Some people like swallowing, some people don't.
    But nobody I know likes getting cum shot all over his/her face.
    That's probably the most silly thing in porn. Sex. Does. Not. End. With. A. Cumshot. To. The. Face. Every. Single. Time.

    Yes, I was more so thinking about all of these applying as a 'rule' that applies to all real life sex, which it doesn't. Although it can happen.

    Although I agree that real life sex can look pretty, to go into your first time as a rule that it will be pretty and as satisfying as porn will probably cause a lot of disappointment.

    Well I'm sorry, but to me, it sounded like you tried to describe real life sex as entirely unappealing and awkward. I couldn't let that stand. Thankfully, I have enough first-hand experience to give more than just anecdotal evidence. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    RULES and unrealistic EXPECTATIONS are always silly.
    No matter if they stem from porn or something else.

    I think you're being very negative regardless, the first time CAN be a pretty and satisfying experience. Also, how can you say porn is pretty and satisfying? They're (mostly) ACTING, lol. That's an oxymoron.

    No, not really, I'm not a sex-negative person. I understand that It's a very satisfying thing for a lot of people, It just doesn't always follow perfect expectations.

    I know they're acting, but most young people who watch don't understand that and base their real life expectations on it.

    Really, the OP asked for why It's unrealistic in some regards so we gave some answers; no need to nitpick everything. That goes for anything, not just sex. For example, I am an artist, I think art is beautiful and satisfying, but if I compared myself to professionals when I first started out it would have been an unrealistic standard for myself and it would have caused me to crash. It doesn't mean that It's impossible for people to make beautiful works of art in a short amount of time, but it IS unrealistic for most people to do that or expect that's going to happen.

    If I watch porn I tend to watch amateur, I can't stand the scripted stuff with actors and fake kissing.

    Sex in real life for me is much more loving than in porn, and a bit more clumsy. Sometimes we bump heads or teeth and have a fit of laughter, you don't get that with porn. Same with the dildo popping out when strapped on! :grin:
