did you know that in Japan blood is used as zodiacal signs? According with a pseudoscientific research of the 1920s the blood type determines your personality and abilities. Despite this theory had been discredited, it is still so important in the Japanese culture that blood horoscope is reported in the newspapers and magazines and the blood types of Anime/Manga character are known. Here are the blood list and the related features: Japanese Blood Types and Personality | Issendai.com

I'm AB, the worst one

I honestly have no clue. Well ok not no clue - it's not O. But that's about all I know.

I really ought to figure this out at some point.

Well, it is just slightly more scientific than the zodiacal signs used for horoscopes here in the US. I mean, science IS used to determine what your blood type is...

We did the test back in school, but also confirmed because I under go lots of medical procedures required to know my blood type. It's uncommon blood type in our area compared to O+

Lol that's very interesting. There has been scientific studies that correlate certain personality traits to particular blood types so that may be true. Wondering if that's why OP is asking this.

I'm an A+, so I'm perfect!..... apparently :rolle:

This thread could be a useful reference if there was ever an EC convention that got struck by a Final Destination style disaster, or for any particularly fussy vampires reading this

I am A-. I've always known this because my blood type was the reason I nearly died as a newborn baby. My mother is O+ but my dad is, I believe, the same type as me. So some of my mother's antibodies got into my blood stream whilst I was in the womb and started killing my blood cells because they didn't recognise the type. The doctors had neglected to do all the needed tests or ask about blood types prior to my birth so when I was about 2 days old I went into organ failure, turned yellow and needed a few whole-body blood transfusions to replenish me and clean out the attacking antibodies. They told my parents I probably wouldn't survive, think I was in the special care unit for a while and in hospital overall for a month before they were able to take me home.

Nowadays this is uncommon as doctors usually have to check these things as part of the standard tests.

I'm AB+. It's quite surprising that this one of the most popular blood types so far since it's the rarest of all of them if I'm not mistaken.

O-'s 7% still isn't too bad. At least it seems like a lot of people who have O- donate (because they're proud of it, or something like that haha)

I'm O+, but my parents are A+ and A- (My sister is A+), so that means that they both have O genes somewhere in them, If I remember correctly... Also I think that's why O is so common; it sometimes hides behind A and B. I could be wrong though

This might be interesting for some. The maps are good (but remember that they're native populations, so the Americas are closer to Europe in actuality):
