Hi guys, so i was a bit curious, is there a specific song that has lots of meaning 2 you? Maybe a song that reminds you of someone or something? Mine has to be Cough Syrup by Young The Giant. I first heard this song when i was watching glee, i was literally obsessed with that show. At that time in my life i was struggling really hard with my sexuality. This song was sung in a scene where a guy was bullied because he was gay and he tried to hang himself. I was shocked at how much i related to that specific scene and person that i bursted out in tears and cried for 3 hours. This song was a song that made me accept my sexual orientation a bit more and im glee thankfull for that. I still listen to this song everyday, and it never gets old

Safe in my hands - Eli Lieb It's about LGBT struggle through life. It makes me tear up just listening to it! Firework - Katy Perry Most of Katy Perry's music seems to be just trashy pop songs, but this one is much different. It describes that although life can be hard, their is still hope in the future. Viva la Vida - ColdPlay I can probably associate this with the things in my life when I've felt taken down and felt like I have nothing left, it's more "symbolic" in my opinion. The Killers, Mr brightside - My favourite song of all time. I grew up listening to it. Bob Sinclair, Love generation - This song always cheers me up and has helped me through some real down moments.
Yellow, by Coldplay. I listened to it a lot when i was younger, especially with my dad, so that song holds a lot of memories and meaning to it for me. The whole album holds a lot of meaning to it, really.
It's stupid but it was playing in the background of one of the most unforgettable moments of my life... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kpd_AEORKNc yep... that's the one :|
A&E by Goldfrapp If I'm depressed I'll listen to it on loop. I Decided by Solange was playing when I came out to my siblings so I'm attached to that now too.
Mine maybe a bit cliche but Good Riddance by Green Day. Reminds me of my friends from my club swimming days. And Home by Phillip Phillips- so many summer camp memories.
^This. A.) HM03 has great taste lol B.) Very personal for me because my dad and I always listened to it together
I have albums that remind me of locations. If I close my eyes, it feels like I'm there. Most notably, The Migration by Scale The Summit reminds me of driving through my neighborhood. Blue skys, green grass and leaves and sunshine.
The song that always chokes me up and teary eyed is somewhere over the rainbow by iz kamakawiwo'ole an adaptation from the wizard of oz. I guess it speaks to me so much because sometimes I wish I could just escape it all, you know?
I literally could not list them all if I tried. Some that jump out would be: "If You Could See Me Now" (Christian song), sang at my mom's funeral. It's a beautiful song about death and Heaven and no more pain. "I Will Not Bow" by Breaking Benjamin "Cassis" by the GazettE "Old Man" by Redlight King

Have I told you lately that I love you? By Rod Stewert In the Air by Phil Collins The Best by Tina Turner Now I'm playing all the time Rather Be by Clean Bandit
Numb by Marina and the Diamonds becasue i just really love the theme and can relate Stayin Alive By the Bee Gees because my friend, my other friend and I always after lunch or recces used to dance up the stairs to our bags before class to that song. She left our school and her mother doesnt want her to have any contact with this school ever again, so this sing has a heap of memories.
