My sister finally let me tell my 12 year old niece that I'm trans. Me: *slightly dumbed down explanation that I feel like a boy despite having a girl's body so I'll be living as a boy* Niece: Oh, okay. So do you want me to call you uncle? Me: *shocked* Uh... well, yes, I'd like that a lot. Niece: *hugs me really tight* I always wanted an uncle. You'll be the best uncle! I think some people probably think "a girl can't be a boy" but to be honest it's not up to them, it's up to you to be happy. I want a happy uncle and not a sad auntie. And later in a conversation with my sister where I was being misgendered, my niece suddenly piped in "Mom, Uncle Hunter's a boy, don't call him she." I love my niece so much.
This is more of a huge victory, but some great news has just come out of PA; we can get our gender markers changed without proof of surgery! Trans birth-certificate suit settled
I got my hair trimmed today and blow-dried straight. It's a style I've never had before because my hair is usually very curly and all-over-the-place, and when I first got it cut my 8 year old sister used to say that I looked 'like a maniac', but when I got home my sister said: 'you don't look like a maniac anymore, but now you definitely look like a boy'. And my brother agreed with her! As annoying as they can be at times, I really do love them. It surprises me how intuitive kids can be sometimes.
My boyfriend told me over the weekend that he would be willing once I got back to Uni with him to take me to a makeup store and get various sets of foundation, eyeliner/shadow, lipstick, nail paint to see if there's anything I like. It'd be great to find some black nail polish, lipstick, and eye shadow to rock this year.
well that was a first for me today. went to the store like this to buy some smokes. no one looked at me odd, and even tried using a higher toned voice. the female cashier never said a word. felt amazing
Augh I have chest hair!!!! And it's not blond!!!! ---------- Post added 10th Aug 2016 at 11:56 AM ---------- Happy birthday! (!)
I'm seemingly completely stealth at work. Everyone calls me Isaac, uses male pronouns and no one questions when I walk into the male bathroom. Feels fucking amazing. Also my dad talked to my aunt and cousin and apparently they're not surprised and alright(ish) about the fact that I'm trans.
I got he/him'ed all day today, though it was kind of awkward with my mom there. Also every salesperson was asking if I needed anything from the "Men's" section. A cashier and I were also talking when I bought the box set of HIMYM and told me that I should get Barney Stinson's "Bro Code" book, which I may get. -- Happy birthday, Kasey.
Completely unrelated to being trans, but I just have to tell someone. I did 8 GCSEs for the past couple of years and got the results back for 5 of them...all A*s! YES! CAMBRIDGE IS MY BITCH! (!) :roflmao: :eusa_danc
Rye, what do you want to study/ what do you study? Like, subjects, stuff... And congrats Happy birthday, Kasey ---------- Post added 11th Aug 2016 at 12:53 AM ---------- Aaand in fact I just wanted to post that I had my hair cut chin length yesterday, it's never been that short, and a boy stares back at me from the mirror.
