Today a boy slipped up and called me "him." A few seconds later he corrected himself. He didn't need to. The funny thing is, I don't think I look too much like a boy. I wear my hair in a ponytail. I just carry myself in a masculine way. That was a moment of victory for me.

I have been confused about my gender lately.

I got a job today, after being laid off for almost a month. Tis at Subway, so I am going to get free food!

I rewarded myself by picking up Persona 3 from a used game store and using forwarding services to buy this.

Tip for transwomen, bigender, and guys in general who want lingerie sized for men, Tamatoys is your friend. Every one of the things I have bought from them has looked and fit wonderfully!

had a little victory from my counselling session yesterday. first my counselor is moving forward with getting me set up with a person who is one of the foremost experts on gender in the province.(!) and as we were talking stonewall came up and i mentioned that Trans people were there from the beginning of the LGBT rights movement. and i said, "we have been there from the beginning....." and i stopped, "that's the first time i've said we in this context....."

Congrats. It's a much better response than "oh, I don't deal with that. We have special groups for that and the next one is in autumn."

I told my mom it was okay to tell my aunt (her older sister). She was already on the phone with her due to certain other issues (and my aunt is all the way across the country, so I couldn't really tell her myself.)

She was really nice, and happy for me and all that stuff.

Better reaction than my dad had almost a year ago, and is still having it. ._.

Finally pressed send. I wrote an email to my mum telling her I was trans, and now I just need to wait and see how she reacts. I'm petrified, but I'll be so happy if it goes well.

So, my mum saw the email and said that she didn't really know what to do, but that she loves me no matter what. I'm not sure what to do either, but I know that we'll work something out. She hugged me for ages and now I'm just so happy that I have such a supportive parent. I don't care if she doesn't fully understand. I love my mum.

So I just came out on facebook. I've been dreading coming out for a long time now, but in the end I just said "life is too fucking short and I've spent enough time on this bullshit already" and came out.

So I'm finally out. Yay, me.
