And a good thing too! Previous one was quite intimidating/scary. ( ¬_¬)

/thread - A hypothetical situation! Imagine yourself in a hospital filled with people that require urgent medical attention, due to a chain car accident. Now imagine that you sit there with your hand bleeding due to a deep (but not life threatening) cut you got while cooking. How weird would you feel, asking for help, considering there are all these other people around you who need the attention more than you do? Do you think it's okay in a situation like this to even seek help in the first place? Should you feel bad about actually thinking of yourself in such a situation?

→ If anyone does happen to read this, I'm quite curious to hear their opinion.

You should never feel bad about thinking of yourself. Ever.

I wouldn't feel weird at all, but I would probably have tended to the cut myself.
Then again, not everyone knows first aid and has the materials required. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Thank God for this reassurance. I never stop.

But seriously, no. Self-interest isn't evil if you're in need of some help. In any case, hospitals aren't "first in first served", so the hypothetical generally shouldn't occur anyway. You will not be taking up space at their expense; they will be given the help automatically as the ones most in need.

    Blasphemy.

At least you didn't do that and your username. I've known people to do that on Tumblr. It's not fun.

I wouldn't ask for help in a situation like this even if my condition was worse. However I naturally tend to sacrifice myself or my needs for others who I think need it more or worth it more.

On neutral ground, nope you shouldn't feel bad. Hospitals usually handle that kind of situations more oftenly than we can think of. So just wait patiently...

Mom: Open the window two inches.
Me: I don't know what two inches looks like! I failed math, remember?

That's it. The next forum I register on, I'm making my name "Innumerate".

I wouldn't worry about it, I like maths and I still couldn't tell you how wide 2cm is without a ruler

I was speaking metaphorically... But still, thanks for the input.

/thread - Was just indirectly told by my mom that, basically... I'm stupid. Not even sure if she realized saying it. Anyway, it's not like I already don't know the limitations of my knowledge.

    Back to reading Economics...

God, I look back on my very first posts on EC when I was this super sheltered 17-year-old, and wonder if that kid would recognise who I am now. I barely spoke to anyone back then. Now I'm this out, opinionated, kinky, talkative adult with a house, a cat, a uni degree, an amazing job, and awesome friends.

I think this should make into "It gets better" ads.

Heartwarming sweet story of success. (*hug*)

You can always do what my family does, buy a whole bunch of card packages and stockpile. My grandma as a stockpile of Christmas, Thank you, Birthday, and whatever other type of card you can think of.

I won't see her for a month. I miss her so much. Yet seeing her hurts. Fuck my life.

I haven't been here in what feels like forever. Dragon Age: Inquisition ate up so much of my life (and still is). Still finding it hard to believe there's a world outside the Hinterlands. It's good to be back though

I had a random memory of one of my old friends. It was a few days before Halloween and my professor had put up Halloween deckles all over the white board. Him and I where making fun of the witch deckle, I made a duck face with my nose crinkled and he said, " It looks like she saying, "I see you my pretty, now come here and give me a kiss!!" He didn't think it was that funny but I roared out laughing.

To be honest, i can't even think straight...hahaa no pun intended! honestly, i have been making my mind so anxious its just hard because when you think in the future and what could possibly happen you make it harder on yourself. So i am thinking of ways to actually set myself back and keep myself in the moment.

To die unsung would really bring you down
Although wet eyes would never suit you
Walk through no archetypal suicide to
Die young is far too boring these days

now that;s perfectly reasonable and logical and i open it back up.

so how come when i state my fuckin case for why the room with the two nasty cats should be closed up cuz smears and their waste and blah blah blah and she never listens and always opens it up anyway??

How in the world did I lose my phone? Usually it never leaves my hand and now it's been hiding from me for well over 24 hours.
